Trendnet's 300Mbps Wireless N ADSL 2/2+ Modem Router is a versatile, convenient piece of hardware that kills two birds with one stone. With its' RJ-11 WAN port, it is an ADLS 2/2+ modem that's great for connecting you to the Internet. Once you are, indeed, connected, the device can also serve as a wireless router in connecting with your wireless -N, -G, and -B devices. When connecting to wireless -N devices, it can transfer data at up to 300Mbps. Because this device also features four LAN Ethernet ports, it can also serve as a wired Ethernet router. You can use this device in combination as both a modem and router, or as just a modem.
If you do use this device as a router, you can easily setup a secure connection with the one-touch Wireless Protected Setup (WPS) button. In addition, for added security, this device utilizes a variety of Firewalls, such as NAT and SPI, and utilizes a variety of security encryption methods, such as WEP, WPA, and WPA2. It also features built-in Quality of Service for ensuring that latency-sensitive applications, such as VoIP or video streaming, receive the bandwidth they need first so as to run smoothly. These features along with many others make this device a stellar, no-fuss choice for setting up and establishing your home or office network.

This wireless modem died in about 7-8 months. During that time, it performed just O.K., but I expect my networking equipment to last me at least 2 years. The GUI has quite a few bugs and is awkward to configure, to say the least. TRENDnet should offer more frequent firmware updates, but that appears to be a work-in-progress for them. My next modem will be a Cisco/Linksys, as I've always had great results with them. Sometimes, you need to stick to the companies you trust and know best.

I have a background in networking. User interface easy to access, but VERY difficult to figure out. This gateway will not give me internet access. Syncs ADSL signal no problem. Constantly comes back with DNS errors, and won't give me internet. VERY disappointed. Went out and bought Airport Extreme; used old modem and had my wireless network (with internet access) running in <7 minutes.
