Never had a camera other than point shoot. Open box and watched before opening camera and lenses. Great I will need to watch again and again for great tips yo make better pictures. Great for beginners.

I am giving it only 4 stars because it lacks an index for the chapter titles, and the listing only says the chapter number with no title. With 25 chapters, it is impossible to know which one is which subject!

Thought it won't cover all the aspects of manual specifications/details, but the quality of basic usage of camera with demonstration was flawless and I like the explanation of the problem with real time examples/scenarios, as well as the analogy for supporting the those topics. The guide emphasizes more on getting on board with D7000 camera. The author of this DVD did mention that it will not a replace all manual references. I beleive the price for the product was on higher range.

Very good and thorough review of every camera function done in a logical sequence. I particularly like the last chapter which shows how to systematically prepare for a shoot, so when you leave your house you have considered 90% of the camera settings you can expect to use.
I also bought the Advanced Topics DVD, which is equally excellent.
