The gray Escape Backpack from Clik Elite contains a myriad of features that are sure to satisfy even the most demanding of photographers and outdoor enthusiast. Starting with its heavy-duty ballistic nylon fabric, The Escape offers durability, functionality and comfort as well as a flexible path to a smooth workflow.

At less than 4 lb, this pack can hold more than its weight in gear - both pro and personal. It holds your DSLR with attached lens in shooting position within the camera bay. In addition, you have room for 3-4 more lenses that can be separated by the Escape's internal padded dividers. Unzip the pack and you can reach into the bay for the camera/lens combo or gain access to the rest of the contents. This pack is also rated to hold an iPad.

The pack is carried by its two adjustable shoulder straps and supported by an adjustable contoured, padded waist belt with quick-release buckle and adjustable sternum (chest) strap. As a neat little feature, the shoulder straps have handy attachment points for various pouches to hold additional lenses, a lightmeter or other equipment. Since this pack is made for serious outdoor use, the molded back panel is vented for heat dissipation and also wicks moisture. The small top zippered accessory pocket is an organizer that accommodates those items that you need most often like filters, maps, keys, batteries and memory cards. The larger outer front zippered pocket is designed to carry extra clothes or even your lunch. Every outdoor photographer generally needs a tripod and yours will be held using the "tuck-away" attachments that hold it firmly on the back of the pack. When not needed, they're stored out of sight. On days when you aren't carrying much gear, use the front compression strap to minimize the footprint of the pack to make it more compact and comfortable.

Inside the Escape, your gear is held within padded and adjustable dividers that can be configured in whatever design you need. The camera with attached lens is cradled in its own "nest" standing ready in shooting position. There is a unique hydration compartment that will hold a 3 liter bladder to keep you going on long treks while exterior mesh airline-style side pockets can hold additional water bottles.

Marginal weather? No worries. There's a convenient, fold-out rain fly that can be rapidly deployed to protect The Escape including the tripod. The strong zippers have pull tabs that are easy to use even with gloves on. Clik Elite has even included a removable accessory pouch that can hold cords and other random items. The Escape is backed by Clik Elite's 2-year warranty.

Great hiking and regular gear bag.

        By Elle

        from Maryland

Comments about Clik Elite Escape Backpack (Gray):

The quality and color of the bag is great, lots of room for lots if lenses and a big camera body. What can I put in it? Nikon D3S, the holy trinity if Nikon lenses, 50 mm lens, 105 mm lens, 2 flashes--SB-910 and SB-600, iPad mini, AA batteries, Nikon battery charger, Gary Fong light sphere kit, rogue flash benders kit. Yup. It's heavy. But durable. And the weight is nicely distributed to your hips when hiking. I'm pretty small--5'2. Fits me well. The gray is a unique outdoor color and can look like you're a hiker instead of one who carries very expensive camera gear. I would obviously off load lenses and other items you may not need to shoot. Great bag!

        Fits everything

        By Brett

        from Dundas

Comments about Clik Elite Escape Backpack (Gray):

I bought this bag to fit my new Tamron 150-600mm and it does that and more. It fits my canon T3i with Tamron 150-600, canon 70-200 f4 IS L, canon 17-40 f4, sigma 24-70 f2.8, canon 50 f1.4, canon speedlite 320, extra rechargeable and camera batteries, memory cards, wireless lav mic system, manfrotto monopod, 82 and 67mm filters, wired shutter release, lenspen and there is still room for food and a change of clothes. The straps are extremely comfortable even when loaded down. I haven't put a water bladder in it yet to feel max weight but given what is in it so far and it's comfort I don't think it will be a problem. If you are planning on doing any kind of long hike photography you need this bag.

I have owned this pack for a month hiking several miles during the course of a day and shooting from the car when in Yellowstone Park. It is light, easy to wear, the camera and primary lens are ready in an instant. I carry a Canon 7D, extra battery pack, and 100-400 lens in the middle compartment. A mike, two smaller lenses, and the spare batteries on the side compartments. Lunch, water, and extra clothing goes on the outside. When changing lenses during a snow storm the back flap collected snow which ended up in the main compartment otherwise no complaints. I am 6'3" and it fits well.

Comments about Clik Elite Escape Backpack (Gray):

I bought this bag after returning the Tamrac Evo 9 Sling, I found the Tamrac to be too big for the sling/combo backpack design.

The Clik Elite Escape is a perfect size and fits my equipment easily: D800+ 14-24/ 24-70/ 70-200/ 85mm all pro lenses. I still have space for items such as phone, batteries etc. etc. etc.

The style is great, and very well made comfortable straps and back cushioning, disperses the weight very well, perfect for long walks. The internal compartments are the best design I have seen within any camera bag.

Go for it, you shall not regret it.

              N.B.
I struggled to find many Clik Elite bags on display within B&H, ask any of the friendly staff who will have it in your hand within minutes, so you can see the quality of this bag yourself.

Awesome backpack! holds everything that I need it too. I have a 50D w/ battery grip and three larger lenses along w/ two flashes. the clik elite holds it all no problem. the construction of the backpack is top notch quality, beads light water on its own. I love the ability to access the camera from the top of the bag. there is nothing that I don't like about this backpack. Very comfortable.

Comments about Clik Elite Escape Backpack (Gray):

So I've gone through 4 camera packs in the last two years, and just could not find "the one" that really worked. I needed a pack to carry my D7000 w/ MB-D11 attached, a 17-55 f2.8, 70-200 f2.8, 80-400, SB-700, tripod, hydration reservoir, lunch, rain gear, filters, cleaning kit, various other odds and ends. I also wanted quick access, and AW. It all fits and I still have a little room left for whenever I pick up and ultrawide. I really like that this is not a big bag like the Clik Elite Nature Med and my Lowepro Primus. Also it's the size of an "real carry-on" (you know the kind that will actually fit in the little TSA cage!) Although I really like this bag, there are just a couple little quirks that I'd like to see rectified in the next version of the pack. The Escape can now hold a tripod, but its not very secure (it wont fall out, but it moves back and forth). I suggest robbing one of the bungees from either side and attaching it to the upper lash tab for a little extra support. Also I wish Clik would stop advertising this a "Chestport" compatible. It is not, and I cannot attach my Clik chest pack because they removed the attaching buckles from the first to second version of this bag. I'd like it if the waste belt was detachable for more travel convenience, and lastly the velcro handle for the quick access to the "Camera Nest" needs to have the Velcro pieces reversed so you can attach the handle to the inner flap to silence it. You really don't want to scare something away or attract attention ripping Velcro appart trying to get your camera out for that all of a sudden shot that pops up! Like I said these are little nit picky things that I'd like to see changed, and may not bother you. All in all I think its a sweet bag that holds just the right amount of gear for a daytrip to whereever your photographic journeys lead!

Comments about Clik Elite Escape Backpack (Gray):

I have only had a chance to use this on two outings so far. One for street/urban photography, and once hiking some nature trails. I love the color and I really like the room for equipment this pack allows for. I really like the feature of how you have quick access to your camera without have to fully open the pack.

One thing I do not like is the balance of the pack when you place your tripod on the pack. I might not have quite found the best way to do it so far but the balance of the weight did not feel good when I placed the tripod on the pack.

I would recommend this pack for general use and moderate hiking trips. Not sure how much I was use this pack for longer hikes (longer than 3 to 4 miles). You might be better off using a "real" pack vs. this one for overnight and full days of hiking.
