The gray Compact Sport Backpack from Clik Elite with its streamlined design makes hiking, mountain biking, skiing and fast packing a breeze. This is a rugged pack designed for those who like to travel fast and light. For the avid outdoor photographer, you'll find it holds a DSLR and a couple of lenses as well as a flash plus a small tripod that is secured with tuck-away attachments that store out of sight when not needed. Aside from being manufactured from high-quality Cordura nylon, included with the pack is a convenient rain fly that can be rapidly deployed in foul weather for even more protection from the elements.

The unique feature of the Compact Sport Backpack is that it can be used as a handy sling bag. The bag is configured for rapid access to the contents either from the top or from a side access pocket when you swing it around to the front. More than that, the inside is fully modular with padded dividers that permit you to arrange the guts in whatever format you need depending on what gear you're taking along. The convenient internal organizer panel is used to store all your batteries and memory cards.

Since traveling light usually means building up a real thirst, the pack will hold an optional 3 liter hydration bladder that will keep you refreshed while you're hitting the trail. The waist belt is wide, padded and comfortable and secures via a quick-release buckle. The shoulder straps are also padded and fully adjustable and supported by a narrow chest strap that will help steady the pack when navigating steep pitches. The back pad is also contoured, padded and comfortable and will help ease the stresses on your back while outside. The zippers all have pull tabs that are easy to use when wearing gloves. For a reasonably-priced, lightweight backpack, the Compact Sport 706 offers you flexibility, functionality and ease of use.

I bought this as an improvement on forcing a backpack or camelback to act as a camera bag.

Short review: Great protected bag which accepts a camelback bladder. Would be nice if the camera was easier to get at, but the protection is great. Excellent bag.

Longer story: I use a Billingham Hadley pro for my daily bag. I tried using the insert with a backpack while skiing and found it less than satisfactory as I had to be careful still with what else went into the bag. I picked up this Clik bag and it is a great size. The camera compartment just holds a Nikon D7000 w/ 17-55 f/2.8 lens without a hood. The adjustable 'walls' of the camera section make the bag very adaptable to lens arrangements and extra lenses. I wouldn't try to pack more than a spare prime or maybe two in with your body on a trip. For me this is perfect for biking or skiing as I don't intend to be changing lenses much on-the-go anyway.

The external tripod strap seems workable but I haven't tried taking the pack and tripod out for a spin yet. I was able to fit a 100oz camelbak bladder into the isolated bladder compartment and had just enough room for a lunch and shirt in the upper compartment. Also, there is a small zipper pocket for keys, ipods, or small bits which is useful.

All in all, this bag is not huge, but it does exactly what I wanted. It seems well constructed with nice details (water resistant zippers). The bag is roughly the camera version of a Camelbak M.U.L.E.

Comments about Clik Elite Compact Sport Backpack (Gray):

This backpack is a great daypack. It allows me to carry my mirrorless Sony A6000 w/zoom lens, MeFoto tripod, snacks, a light jacket, and water (bottle or hydration bladder) very comfortably. Side access to my camera is quick and easy like they advertise. I also like the soft lined pocket on top for my sunglasses. The only small downside is about carrying water. The big side mesh pocket will carry your tripod OR water bottle. The alternative for the water bottle is the small mesh pocket on the front with the elastic cord. This works fine for most disposable plastic water bottles. I have a large-ish metal bottle that fits, but I worry that it would fall out without me knowing. I did purchase a bladder as the alternative when carrying my tripod. Note that this is really a small complaint.Overall, this is a fantastic bag I would recommend strongly.

Comments about Clik Elite Compact Sport Backpack (Gray):

Won't fit a Canon Rebel T4i. The inner pocket dividers are too long and are not adjustable. Even a relatively small DSLR, like the Rebel, is too thick on the handgrip side to fit between the support piece and the zipped cover. The backpack has nice features otherwise, but fails in this critical aspect.

Comments about Clik Elite Compact Sport Backpack (Gray):

I've been looking for a quality backpack that didn't look or felt so bulky and that was not just plain boring black as most of them are. This one is really well built and very comfortable, I've had back problems in the past and the support you get with this backpack is perfect, specially the waistband, so helpful. It's unbelievably slim if you see it on its side, and it holds perfectly my camera with a 18-55 mm lens attached and 2 extra lenses, a little tight but they do fit. The inner and outer compartiments are really useful. It's perfect if you're looking for a comfortable small bag to carry all day long, but don't expect to fit lots of personal stuff in the upper zipper above the camera. No room for laptop or ipad, maybe just a light jacket, a book and a snack or things like that (though I did fit two pairs of shoes, a scarf, a book and gloves after one day of shopping, but it sure was hard to accomplish!)I bought the gray compact sport and I must say that the actual color looks a little different from what I saw on screen but I still like it a lot, it's kind of a very soft military green.I thinks it's a perfect backpack for women due to its size, but not excluding men who want a smaller bag of course...

Comments about Clik Elite Compact Sport Backpack (Gray):

This bag is exactly what I needed for hiking and biking with my DSLR. It's a solid bag and very well made. Enough pockets for the basics and then some. My only issue, and it really isn't an issue, is that the pocket that holds your camera, especially if you shoot with a professional DSLR, is that it's a really tight fit. Removing my camera is not as fluid as I would like. I say that is not really an issue as I think it was built that way intentionally. Your camera won't move at all. And the bag stays tightly flushed against your back feeling like an apendage rather than a burden.
            Highly recommended.

I bought this for my Olympus E-510 with 70-300mm, 50mm macro and 14-42mm kit lens. They all fit at the bottom compartment where the camera resides but it is a bit too tight. The top compartment is not that big--keep that in mind when you but this. The rain-fly is tucked underneath at the bottom of back. Rain-fly is very handy and have already used it.

I also bought this is in the hope that I could take my gear for Mountain Biking. It is compact and small enough for that purpose. It looks like I could also use this for skiing as well.
