Comments about WindTech CM-80 Photo / Video Hot Shoe 1/4"-20 Adapter:
As others have stated, it's a tight fit to mount into the hot shoe but that's OK with me. I used this on my T2i and attached my Zoom H4n onto it. Worked like a charm!

The adapter will be screwed into Radiopopper PX brackets for Nikon and Nikon ML-3 trip beam. The assembly will then easily mount/dismount from a hotshoe clamp on a light stand. Like the sturdy build and large knobs.

Comments about WindTech CM-80 Photo / Video Hot Shoe 1/4"-20 Adapter:
I bought this to mount a Tascam recorder to my Canon HV40. Initially the adapter wouldn't slide easily into the shoe mount, but after a bit of jiggling around I discovered it just needed the correct angle. For the job it needs to do it's functional and relatively inexpensive.

Comments about WindTech CM-80 Photo / Video Hot Shoe 1/4"-20 Adapter:
Easy to tighten in both directions. Stays put.Using it to mount a zoom recorder to a flash bracket.Sometimes a little tricky to get the position every thing aiming in the just right direction-- but a ball head mount version is the only thing that really does that better.

I will mount my Canon G9 on top of my Canon 60D to shoot video while also shooting stills. The fit into the hot shoe was quite tight, but with minor filing it fits perfectly; seems secure. Good price.

Very simple device. I used it to mount an iPhone atop my GH2 using an iStabilizer mount for the iPhone.

two weeks ago I broke my Rode Mic hot shoe , so I need to found something else to replace it. So I recently found this piece on B&H. At first I didn't if it would work well , but when I tried it for the first time I was extremely impressed by the strength of the product. I always film in difficult winter conditions in the Quebec region, so having a hot shoe with great strength was my number one criterion . I am extremely happy with this product and I advise everyone who seeks a hot shoe .

i have a quantum T2 flash, and i was looking for a way to easily put all together. i have a light stand and a 175F Justin Spring Clamp with Flash Shoe from manfrotto. Now everything is faster, i don't have to screw the flash to anything, just slide on the hot shoe adapter.
The thing that i don't like is that is too big, but it is really strong!

I use this adapter to fasten my Tascam dr100 to a hot/cold shoe extender. This thing is solid construction, and can be used with a variety of attachments since the bottom is drilled out to 1/4". Also fits the Canon T2i hot shoe.
