Great for my BlackMagic Cinema Camera, gives me almost one and half hour of recording with ProRes format at 23.98fps.
The price could be lower, hope Crucial will drop it soon.
It would be also great to get a case for the drive in the box...

This SSD replaced a slow hard drive. I tried this update a Verbatim model before this. I tried two drives and both were slow and had to return them. This Crucial SSD is much better.

Great drive, can't beat the speed. Have bought 4 so far for different computers & so far they're awesome, 100x faster than a regular hd. The only thing I can't speak for is reliability, but they've been going strong for about 4 months.

Crucial M4 is very well known to be a reliable and quick ssd. I have the 256gb and I bought this 128gb as a gift, and the person who received this gift is his first time owning an ssd, so I trusted M4 Crucial to do the job! He is now extremely happy with how quick his OS now runs.

Comments about Crucial 128GB m4 SSD 2.5" Solid State Internal Drive:

I have installed a number of this as Windows drives. They are a good size for Windows 7 and the most critical and often-used applications (Firefox, Office, etc).

One thing I very much appreciate is they are RAID friendly. Some of the systems I maintain can not afford downtime, so I use RAID1 as a cheap insurance policy against a drive failure. The problem is the TRIM command does not work in RAIDS. These will automatically clean themselves up(garbage collection) when the system is idle. The best way to ensure that is to boot into the BIOS setup screen once a month and walk away for a period of time.

Otherwise, they are fast, easy to install, and will greatly decrease the boot time of Windows and launch time of huge of often-used applications.

These have become my go-to drives for the above purposes.

The only thing not great about them is they could be larger. But that is not the drive's fault.

I set it up as the system drive, a little small for that, I know, but is good for now. It's faster than any of my SATA HDDs. It doesn't come with neither cables nor 2.5" to 3.5" adapter, so I had to buy the adapter. I wouldnt say it's running too hot.

This device was super easy to install I would have like to see mounting brackets for 3.5 in as part of the delivered product though. Not every case has a 2.5 in slot to mount to.

I own several of the Crucial M4 SSDs, 64GB as well as 128GB and none have had any problems. Overall performance is very good even compared to newer drives. Firmware update is quick and painless--important for an SSD.

M4 use marvell as the controller which is good for real world useage, unlike most of other SSDs use sandforce controller. This is the best SSD under [$], if money wasn't the problem, then Plextor m3 pro maybe the best choice.

Comments about Crucial 128GB m4 SSD 2.5" Solid State Internal Drive:

Installed it as the primary drive for the OS, improved startup time significantly. I would suggest you make sure the Windows page file is written to a non SSD HD or just eliminate the page file if you have enough RAM.

Overall satisfied with the drive, but it does come bare so you need to have a spare SATA cable and if you want to slot it to the regular 3.5" HD bay, you need your own adapter. I don't have a lot of experience with SSD, but the INTEL one that I bought came with these accessories.
