The SP-170s 88-Key Digital Piano from Korg is a high-quality slab-style digital piano that cuts out unnecessary frills to deliver pure piano sound and feeling in a clean, simple design. The keyboard has 88 keys with natural weighted hammer action and 3 levels of touch sensitivity to faithfully recreate the feel and response of an acoustic piano.

The piano features 10 realistic instrument tones, including 2 concert grand pianos, as well as electric pianos, organs, strings, and more. An integrated sound system with a stereo amplifier and bass-reflex speakers provides dynamic sound right out of the box, so you can perform without connecting additional equipment. Digital chorus and reverb effects are also available to add depth to your sound.

The piano offers a pair of headphone jacks, ideal for private lessons or duets. A MIDI output allows you to connect to other MIDI instruments, or to a MIDI-equipped computer. Convenient pitch control and key transpose functions make it easy to adjust your sound to match other instruments or vocalists. A damper pedal and music rest are included to complete the package.

Note! Piano stand available separately.

Simple in design, the portable and stylish SP-170s emphasizes the vital piano elements: a comfortable keyboard, and a satisfying sound.
Convenient Piano Play button instantly recalls the main piano sound
The Sound button provides access to each of the ten internal sounds
The two skillfully sampled concert grand piano sounds capture all the nuances of the performer's touch.
A total of ten sounds are provided, including electric pianos, harpsichord, organs, strings, and more.

The Key Touch Control offers three levels of sensitivity to match the keyboard response to any playing style.
The new speaker system features improved speaker quality and enhanced resonance.
Reverb effect adds depth and spaciousness to the sound; Chorus adds warmth and motion.

After looking around for korg b&h had the best pricing and delivery time. Love my electric piano, the keys are very realistic in comparing it to acoustic piano.

Comments about Korg SP-170s 88-Key Digital Piano (Black):

The GoodI purchased the SP-170 to brush up on my piano skills and was mainly looking for a keyboard that felt like a real piano. I was surprised at how great this keyboard feels. It may be a tad on the heavy side, but I'm overall very impressed with the weight and feel of the keys. I also really like the design of this keyboard. It's a nice subtle black with minimal knobs and buttons. The BadI wasn't hoping for a million mind blowing sounds, I really just wanted a realistic sounding acoustic piano. I'm a bit disappointed with the piano samples on the SP-170, it doesn't sound bad, but it doesn't sound great either. It lacks the depth and punch you get from a real acoustic piano. I hooked the SP-170 up to my studio monitors thinking that it was just the on board speakers that lacked punch, but I was mistaken; it's the samples themselves. Another beef, I have...the headphone out jacks are 1/8". While this may be good for plugging in ear buds, it's a bit of a hassle for hooking up to a PA or amplifier. Lastly the onboard speakers are surprisingly quiet. Again, I wasn't expecting them to shake the walls, but I thought they'd go up a bit louder than they do. ConclusionI realize I cited quite a few negatives about this keyboard, but I still think it's a good value for [$]. I'm not sure you'll find a better feeling stage keyboard for the money.

Comments about Korg SP-170s 88-Key Digital Piano (Black):

My daughter's piano lessons advanced to the point that she needed keys that respond to different pressures and aside from real piano which we can't afford money or space-wise, this is the best deal. It offers no belts or whistles, just good piano teaching. The only thing I wish it came with is dust cover.
