This Oben Reversible 1/4"-20 & 3/8"-16 Mounting Stud is a replacement part for all Oben tripods and monopods. It will fit many tripod and monopod models from other manufacturers as well. The stud is reversible, so you can use your tripod with almost any head, which typically has either a 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 threaded hole.

I needed to attach a manfrotto disconect plate to a vanguard ball head, and the parts do not pair up nicely. So I cut the 3/8" thread part off of this stud and it worked like a charm. Just what I was looking for!

I used this stud to customize a Glidetrack with a 1/4" panhead to make use quick and easy. While the mounting stud works, I had to saw part of it off so that it would glide properly while mounted. I did not use this mounting stud in the conventional way or what it is likely intended for, but it does the trick.
