I bought the Jetpack 15 to use together with my Clik Elite Trekker Waist Pack when it is too small to carry everything I need. The two together can hold as much as I am willing to carry more than a short distance. Combined they are still (for now anyway) within generic airline size requirements for carry-on baggage. I already own several larger and smaller bags so this combination fills a pretty specific need.

Clik Elite's build quality is about on par with LowePro in most ways. In other words this stuff is built ruggedly. I have also found my Clike Elite packs to be comfortable to carry (they might not be if you are of a small build).

I have only two complaints about the Jetpack 15. First the zipper for the main compartment, although plenty rugged, makes a sharp 90º bend on each side at the top and it binds at that bend. Others have complained the zipper scratched their laptop in that spot. I carry only an iPad in the sleeve so that has not been an issue for me but the binding could have been easily eliminated with wider radius bend.

Second, the 'tripod holder' is a joke. Shoving two legs into an elastic water bottle holder and securing the top with a flimsy piece of elastic and cord lock is not going to work for much of a tripod. I retrofitted the pack with a holder that will carry my small tripod but that would be difficult if you do not own an industrial sewing machine and the ability to work with it.

In all, I am very happy with the pack for my specific situation but I don't think it would work very well for carrying a laptop. Maybe that's what they discontinued it.

Comments about Jetpack 15 Backpack (Gray):

I wanted a backpack style bag for shooting weddings and small kids *they are kinda fast. I really like this bag though in reality I wish it was a little bit bigger. It holds my camera body with 35mm attached, my 200 and my 50. I can also fit my flash and my gary fong diffuser. My laptop does fit in the sleeve and it is thickly padded. The bag is very light though if you want to carry a lot this is not the bag for you. I take it for weddings and honestly forget I am wearing it. Everything is easy to get too and it also has small storage areas in the front pocket as well as two side sleeves. Well worth the money.

Comments about Jetpack 15 Backpack (Trillium):

I ordered this to do light traveling/hiking. I was able to pack a D300 with 18-200 lens, an SB800 speedlight and Nikkor 105mm lens in the compartments. I was also able to store my ipad as well as additional CF cards, etc. I loved that I could switch from backpack style to cross-body. Very function if you are looking not to carry all of your gear and still be comfortable. It's very well padded too. I would have like to have seen metal clips for the straps, but I knew they weren't when I purchased. Front pocket could be used for a wallet if you want. Very satisfied with my purchase and the color is very gender neutral (my husband will carry it).

I was looking for a bag that I could use for air travel and not have to pay extra for my camera bag, or laptop bag. This fit the bill perfectly. I was able to load it with both my Apple 13" MacBook Pro, iPad, and my DSLR with attached lens, as well as my 55-200 mm lens, Speedlight 320 and all the needed cords, chargers, batteries, etc. The bag fit perfectly under the seat in front of me on Spirt Airlines. Works great. Did have to adjust the pocket dividers for the camera a little bit, but it worked well. Would recommend if need to take just the essentials as well as your laptop.
