I can now use screw mount lens I have on my newer Pentax.The lens focus to infinity.
It is tricky to get off the lens.I had to put the adapter gently in my wood vice to get it off.When you put it on the K mount camera it does not turn as far as normal k mount lens to the click stop that locks it in.

What I received looked nothing like the item shown, and in no way would work for the purpose described. Had to return.

The metal is finished pretty well. The main problem is, it has a flange, about 2mm thick, which when mounted, will sit sandwiched between the lens and camera body. This flaw prevents focus to infinity. Also, the adapter does not "click" into position the way your k-mount lens would. it does not rotate all the way to where you would expect, and thus the aperture markings on the m42 lens is set off to the right side, and not at the 12 o'clock position as one would expect, making it difficult to read. . Additionally, I was unable to get accurate focus, I suspect because of the flange problem. This was tested on a K200D. I will try it on my K5 and see if the focus trouble persists/
I only gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the build quality and finish is decent.
