      OK for the price

Comments about Dot Line Micro Four Thirds Adapter for Canon FD Lenses:

Came in plastic bag. No caps of any kind provided to protect adaptor or lens when not in use. Glad I had been reading forums about this type of product as there are no instructions provided. Good fit with "New FD" lenses, feels a little loose with old FD (silver ring type) mount but still works. OK for the price. Inexpensive enough that if I decide to use more than one of my FD lenses on a regular basis, I will probably buy an adapter and Micro 4/3 rear lens cap for each of them.

It does exactly what it is supposed to. I like being able to use lenses I know and trust despite brand posession and lens mount. It is built solidly and I trust its design.

I am using this adapter to mount a Canon FD 1.4. It is a solid, sturdy, and well-made adapter.

I just had to unlock the aperture on the lens so it can easily fit into the adapter.

No issues so far after a week or so of usage.

Comments about Dot Line Micro Four Thirds Adapter for Canon FD Lenses:

On my old Canon f/1.8 50mm breech-lock (the kind you turn the breech-lock threaded ring to attach the lens) FD lens, there is a bit of side to side movement when focusing the lens. No tipping or rocking, but the breech-lock mount almost never has that problem because the threaded ring alway turns until the camera and lens flanges are pressed together firmly.

The ring that rotates to either leave the lens wide-open or stop down the lens to whatever f-stop the lens is set at is convenient. This allows focusing with the lens wide-open which is easier and more precise, and then stopping down for metering (required since there is no communication between camera and lens as to what the f-stop is set at).

The sliding is a bit annoying when focusing manually at 10x, which is how you will be focusing since there is no autofocus.

It's super easy to use. Now I can use a vintage 12 piece coleccion of lenses of an analogue camera, it can't get any better!

I recently bought a Panasonic Lumix GH2 and had my grandfathers set of Canon FD mount prime lenses. This adapter fits wonderfully. I now have a wonderful selection of lenses to use with my GH2. Great product!

I am very glad that I ordered this mount, I also have a mount from "Fotodiox" and "Dot Line" is much better, It is much more solid, once it is attached it is a very tight and sturdy fit. I will be ordering another one when I get my next camera.
