Comments about Cool-Lux LC-7150 500 Watt AC Photo Dimmer:

Very useful on set, for most any brand of tungsten light at/below 500w. Much more control over exposure. And just can't beat the price.

Because it's a sliding control, it means you have a wide range of options for light intensity. Watch out for lights making a humming sound (my Lowel Omni does that sometimes); and watch out for color temperature change when dimming (on some lights).

But that's not the fault of the dimmer.

I gave it 4 stars because it's only a 2-prong receptacle, you'll need a 2-to-3 prong adapter. Not a dealbreaker (in fact, only an extra $3).
