The Panasonic TH-42PH30U 42" Class HD Professional Plasma Display is an ideal choice for classrooms, boardrooms, display, conventions or any high-traffic venue where durability and brilliant images are paramount.
The TH-42PH30U boasts HDMI, component, DVI, PC and RS-232C connections but also allows the addition of extra mounting boards developed to defeat obsolescence and promote expandability.
The 1024 x 768 panel features a wide color gamut backed by an unheard of 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio which recreates crisp detail in any installation regardless of viewing angle. Also new to this 720p model is improved video processing providing crisp, clear motion images with a motion picture resolution of 900 lines. Panasonic designed the TH-42PH30U to be a workhorse so the 100,000 hour rated panel reduces image retention when running program material for long periods of time. The tough glass screen is up to the challenge of public spaces, resisting shock and impact which would shatter other units.

The fit and finish of the panel is impressive and the controls and menus are easy to navigate and use. The picture is crisp and the colors rich. The only gripe is the price of the pedestal stand -- a quite expensive and necessary accessory if one plans on placing the panel on a horizontal surface. All in all a top notch panel for the price. This makes an excellent color accurate client monitor.
