The magnesium head features a fluid cartridge for smooth movement. It moves freely in its photo mode, like a typical ball head. In video mode, motion is restricted to the appropriate dimensions: pan and tilt. Equipped with a reversible pan bar, the MH055M8-Q5 features a continuously adjustable pan & tilt drag that starts at zero. Counterbalance is adjustable, and the system supports loads up to 12.6 lb.
The three-section 755XB tripod reaches a maximum height of 65" (70.3" with the head attached), and it features flip-lever leg locks and a built-in 50mm bowl for +/-15° leveling.

Comments about Manfrotto MH055M8-Q5 Photo-Movie Tripod Head with 755XB Aluminum Video Tripod Kit:
Received my combo today and am impressed with it, however one annoying thing Manfrotto could have fixed was the lack of a knob to tighten the pan bar bracket, rather than having to find a coin. I have 2 other Manfrotto tripods and both have proper levers to tighten.
The other thing is why is there no rubber seal to stop the tripod screw from falling out of the base plate?? All other plates have that small round rubber seal, this one doesn't!
