The black Adventure Backpack (White) from Overboard is designed to keep your gear safe in wet conditions. Its welded base is rated for quick submersion in small streams and puddles. It's made from a durable PVC tarpaulin and will also prevent dirt, dust and sand associated with traditional trail travel from contaminating the contents.
The welded base provides even more protection as will the front zippered pocket that holds even more accessories. For the avid outdoor enthusiast who isn't afraid to get his feet wet, this backpack is well-named. The Adventure Backpack is just what it claims to be - a way to get in the middle of it while keeping your gear safe and dry.
The two main compartments give you more than adequate room for your basics including a padded 17" (43.2 cm) widescreen laptop storage area that will also hold your MP3 player. The other pocket is for keeping documents, files and other collateral material safe. In addition to the large pockets, you'll have that front zippered accessory pocket, a pencil case with touch fastened attachment, mesh cable pockets and additional room for more accessories.
For even more safety, the pack has been provided with front and back reflective straps - perfect for late afternoon or evening hiking. The padded pack straps are supported by a strong and comfy, ergonomic top carry handle. Side compression straps permit you to adjust the footprint of the pack as well as provide a way to tighten it up on the trail. The zippers have handy pull tabs. The Adventure Backpack is a reasonably-priced pack that combines good storage space with features that make it appealing for a day trip in the country.

I use this bag to protect some electronic gear while working in the rainforest. It's a good size and is certainly waterproof enough for what I use it for. It also looks pretty sharp in the city. I don't love the smell, though.

great place to put laptop, holds a great amount of books and my jacket when i take it off after biking to class. Keeps the rain out really well. I have yet to try and submerge it but if it keeps everything dry when thrown into a pool it will only be missing one thing, a nice mesh zipper pocket inside up top for change, chapstick, flashdrive, etc. Also it looks really cool, especially with my motorcycle jacket.
