Comments about Bower 35mm f/1.4 Lens for Sony A-Mount:

I have tried this with an a100, a350 and a a65. I was certain to put the camera in manual and set the picture selector to M. Neither of the cameras will recognize that I have a lens installed. I have other manual lenses and they all work. The lens mounts like any other Sony/Minolta, but the cameras do not recognize that I have a lens mounted.??/? I am still hoping I can find out what is not making contact? It looks and feels like a good lens.

Comments about Bower 35mm f/1.4 Lens for Sony A-Mount:

I shoot with it everyday now with my A65. The focus ring is very accurate and easy to use. Images are sharp from f2.0, bokeh is great too.

Comments about Bower 35mm f/1.4 Lens for Sony A-Mount:

This lens, and any variation of the Samyang 35mm is one of the best bangs for the buck you will find. I use this on my Sony a850, and it is sharp across the entire full frame, and I think it might be outresolving my 24MP sensor. At wide open, it is already sharp, and once you stop down to f/2 and smaller apertures, it's sharp across the frame, with great contrast and colors. The colors are almost too saturated, and the background is silky smooth.
The lens is very versatile. It can focus close, it's very bright, nice wide angle on FF, beautiful bokeh, great indoors, better outdoors.
