That much for a piece of aluminum? I guess so. But at least it allows for a quick change between two different setups or equipment.
This plate fit the DV12SB head perfectly. Unfortunately, the holes don't line up with the older extruded aluminum style Sony VCT-14 tripod plates.
It comes with a 3/8" and 1/4" screw. If you get a third 1/4" screw and use all three, it attaches much more securely to the older style VCT14. For the newer VCT-14, only the two screws are needed and can be placed on the outside holes for better stability
