The black BodyGuard CB from LensCoat is a camera cover that is used under all conditions to protect your camera from everything from scratches and "dings" to cold weather. In addition to the basic protective nature of the cover, it also can be used to reduce shutter noise in venues where "quiet" is the operative word. Although not a formal blimp type design, it can help reduce the noise traditionally associated with current DSLRs.
It's made from rugged neoprene and is comfortable in your hand. There are finger slits on the side for extra access to the various switches and buttons of your camera. You can even slide your finger under the cover for direct access to the shutter release button.
The BodyGuard slides on and off easily making battery exchange or memory card replacement easy. There is even room for your flash and camera strap. It is designed to fit prosumer bodies without the optional body grip installed. This version comes in a matte all-black finish to better blend in where desirable. Or, it can be used just for its protection value.
| Compatibility | Camera bodies: 6.0 x 4.5 x 3.0" (15.2 x 11.4 x 7.6cm) |

Comments about LensCoat BodyGuard CB (Black):
I bought this for my Canon 60D. To install or remove the BodyGuard you have to remove the camera body straps. To effectively use the camera's pop up flash the BodyGuard has to be peeled back completely and left suspended and stretched out on the camera straps. This makes it a very awkward situation. This product is way overpriced. I regret purchasing it and will return it. Note that LensCoat will not accept my poor rating of this product on their web site and erased the same from their FaceBook page.

I also bought the Raincoat when I bought the Bodyguard. Widening my skills and wanted to take advantage of some of the lighting, clouds, etc on rainy days. Also wanted to protect the gear from sand, etc on the beaches. The Video on the B&H website convinced me the Lenscoat Raincost was the way to go. Well designed, allows use on tripod, abd provides good protection for camera only. It does take some effort to get it on correctly but I expect to get better with it each time I use it. Not a real snug fit but I like the clear plastic panel on the back that allows me to see the LCD screen while this is in place. I am definitely pleased with it so far.

This was for added protection when packing the camera (5D Mark II) and when using a Lenscoat raincoat. Exactly what I was looking for.
