The SnapPod Compact Tabletop Tripod from Magnus is a versatile and extremely compact tabletop tripod designed for compact point-and-shoot cameras up to 1.1 lb (0.5 kg). Its bendable gooseneck legs can be placed into multiple positions and is therefore useful on uneven surfaces and for obtaining extreme shooting angles. Its maximum shooting height of 4.7" (12 cm) is ideal for table top shooting and the legs can even be bent to attach a light camera to certain items like chair backs or computer monitors. Its SureGrip rubber feet provide traction and keep the tripod stable and in its place. A 1/4"-20 mounting screw will directly attach to most compact camera's tripod mount.

Measuring only 4.9" (12 cm) and weighing 1.7 oz (48 g), it can be carried and stored easily and brought to events and occasions where even small standard tripods would not be welcomed. More so, an integrated pocket clip allows it to be easily transported and retrieved from shirt pockets or camera bags.

I have purchased several of these. I leave them attached to the point & shoot cameras that are with me everywhere (Canon S95 and G16). If you choose the right case, the feet can be left sticking out and ready as a handle (with the legs closed). I even attach one to cameras I give as gifts. Though I seldom use as a tripod, it works well for cameras under about 1.5 lbs. My main use is as a handle to help stabilize the camera. Small cameras are dificult to hold steady and this tripod works great as a handle. Both stills and video are steadier and horizons are easier to keep level. For family fun, I've had my camera passed around a dinner table (video running) and let everyone add to a video. The handle keeps folks from messing with the settings, and everyone understands how to hold it without dropping.

      Nice little tripod

Very flexible but the little rubber feet are not glued on and I lost one. If you buy it take them off and put some glue in there and reinstall.

Comments about Magnus SnapPod Compact Tabletop Tripod:

If you have compact or mirrorless camera, this tripod is a must for you.
it is cheap and small, so you can put it in your pocket. it is very useful for taking picture from low angle. and one more advantage, you can adjust its flexible legs however you want.
even though, it is not like gorilla pod, i still give five star for function and price combination.

          Cheap.
          Portable.
Holds your Camera steady for the shots you want to take.

If you're an amateur photographer who just wants to take a steady shot with their point and shoot camera, pick this up RIGHT NOW.

Through normal wear and tear, the little ball in one of the legs will probably be the first thing to give way, but that'll take months. So yeah, buy this!

Comments about Magnus SnapPod Compact Tabletop Tripod:

I love this tripod! I used my last one for many years until one of the legs fell off.Just ordered 2 more so I have them at home and in my car always. They are easily bendable for any angled or level surface and also wrap around things a bit. It's light-weight and easy to carry. Also good as a "handle" for your camera if you hold it with the legs together. One thing I find funny about this tripod is that people always say how "cute" it is! :)

Comments about Magnus SnapPod Compact Tabletop Tripod:

I was going to buy something more expensive, but decided to just try this instead. Works great! I used it with my little AVCHD camcorder to record the computer screen. It was very sturdy and I could position the camcorder to get the right shot. I then felt confident to try it with my T3i DSLR and the kit lens. It still worked! I wouldn't recommend it for extreme positions, but for a basic level shot at a slight up or down angle it works great. It's so affordable I say just get one and throw it in your bag. It will come in handy for a great shot one day.

This thing is a slam dunk. It is really small so it fits in a really small camera bag yet holds the camera in a fixed position very well. My need was to have a video camera placed in one position and would fit in a little bag. It also seems durable enough to provide lots of use. I'm very happy with it.
