Comments about IOGEAR Multi-Link Bluetooth Keyboard With Touchpad:

After looking at a number of mid-size bluetooth keyboards, I chose this specifically because of the multi-link function. I purchased this as a gift for my girlfriend to pair with 2 laptops, a smartphone, and a tablet, so that we can quickly switch from, say, controlling netflix over a TV connected to a laptop and then to a tablet or other device.

I did have one issue where after pairing it with all 4 devices and then not using it for a few days, it would not connect with anything. I had to clear the saved pairings, delete the KB from each device, and repair them. As this has not recurred, I don't know if it was the KB's fault, one of the device's fault, or the USB BT dongle on the laptop's fault, so I'm not taking a star off for that.

It seems decently built for the price (on sale here). Battery door is hard to open, and reset button should probably not be right next to the on/off switch. Trackpad is small, but still works. Sensitivity is not the greatest, but since this keyboard is meant to be a convenient interface and not a workhorse, it doesn't bother me.

Comments about IOGEAR Multi-Link Bluetooth Keyboard With Touchpad:

I paired the keyboard with a Windows 8 ASUS tablet and an android Toshiba Thrive tablet. It took less than three minutes to pair with each following the included instructions. The keyboard is the size of a regular keyboard, so it is not as portable as I'd hoped, but it works great with my tablets. The touchpad is very sensitive, so it takes some getting used to to keep from selecting a link different from the one you want. A good value and good functioning.

Comments about IOGEAR Multi-Link Bluetooth Keyboard With Touchpad:

i'm using this with a dell alienware m11xr3, and sometimes my phone (a galaxy s2)at first, although it worked with my laptop, it was a little laggy at times and would lose sync - this was fixed by getting a different $10 bluetooth adapter for my lappy, so now it is perfectly responsive. the small size does limit its use for, say, FPS games but for regular use it is very nice and responsive.the MAIN caveat is that you have to get used to tapping (just tapping the touchpad counts as a left button press). apparently you cannot disable this feature and i even wrote to iogear support who confirmed this. it was super annoying at first but i got used to it.it seems to have all of the buttons which i need to get around on my android phone as well - home, back, search, etc... my bottom line is that i am really happy with this keyboard, but if there were a similar priced model that allowed you to disable tapping, i would go for that.warning - i read somewhere that it lacks all of the buttons for the ps3, so beware if that's your intended use.

Comments about IOGEAR Multi-Link Bluetooth Keyboard With Touchpad:

Connected easily. Does not come with Bluetooth dongle, so you'll have to pick it up separately. It is not responsive enough for gaming, but works great while you are lounging and getting work done. Besides, every gamer knows you need corded devices anyways.

Comments about IOGEAR Multi-Link Bluetooth Keyboard With Touchpad:

Bought 3/13 at B&H Photo. What I like:--it's larger than the others – full keyboard--unlike smaller ones, the numbers row is included – others have the numbers combined into the keyboard keys – meaning you can't just type them in without having to change the keyboard entry mode – you can just keep typing--pairing is simple – the 'f' keys can be assigned to multiple devices --touch pad – works fine for me--after paired, you don't need to touch your phone at all – except to turn it off.Why only a 4 star:There are at least 2 things that are aggrivating:--there is no indicator light showing the keyboard is on or off--the on/off switch is on the back – should be on top – very annoying and cumbersome – this isn't a keyboard that stays on all of the time.I'm in the office most of the day, and usually send emails to my coworkers, friends, etc. Now everyone wants to be texted instead – UGH. Texting is fine when you have short things to text, but longer texts take more time to key into the phone. This is not a very mobile keyboard, but I don't need it to be.

Comments about IOGEAR Multi-Link Bluetooth Keyboard With Touchpad:

I have 2 TV's one above the other. This setup is so I can watch the NFC NFL game and AFC NFL game simultaneously during football season. I use my pre-amp's selector to switch which games sound I monitor depending on the action on the screen.

Connected to these 2 TV's are 2 HTPCs and a PS3. I had been using a Logitech diNovo Mini on one HTPC and getting up and down from the couch to control the other PC.

No more, with the Multi-Link Bluetooth Keyboard With Touchpad by Iogear I now have HTPC 1 on device 1, the PS3 on device 2 and the other HTPC on device 3.

This is exceptionally convenient. During the off season I may be streaming Bloomberg.com while streaming a full episode from PBS.org or the History Channel. Listening to one and watching the other. Controlling a HTPC from the couch while listening to a program is exactly what I was after.

This keyboard give me the short distance remote access I wanted.

Comments about IOGEAR Multi-Link Bluetooth Keyboard With Touchpad:

I am a software developer and I have an iMac, Mac mini, 2 PC's and 2 Lap tops now all using the IOGear Keyboard. Before buying the IOGear Bluetooth keyboard my desk was clustered with three keyboards and life as a pain. Mac's very easy to add the keyboard. For the PC's I did have to purchase additional Blue tooth dongle USB when I realized that neither of them were bluetooth enabled. I actually have one of the USB Bluetooth dongles inserted into an IOGear 2 port VGA KVM and it picked up the IOGear keyboard no problems. To add the keyboard to a machine is very simple , just hold down the function key and the device number key on the keyboard and then follow the Add Bluetooth device process on the machine. Switching machines on the keyboard is also very easy , just function key followed by the machine number key. I'm more used to using a mouse so when I do use the touchpad on the keyboard it's more of a last result. I have not experienced any problems with the keyboard and would recommend it as a very good and affordable solution if like me you have several devices and only one desk.
