Comments about Griffin Technology iMic USB Audio Interface:
Use as an audio device for recording audio on laptops. Ran into compatibility issues recording with the onboard sound card. This device works perfect. The only problem is the product is not very road worthy. At the price though, you can buy another and keep an extra as a backup.

Comments about Griffin Technology iMic USB Audio Interface:
When Apple stopped including audio-in ports, I bought this for a variety of types of recording. It has provided years of trouble-free, hi-quality input from a variety of devices to both Windows and Apple computers. Drivers are already in both OS's now. The only reason I gave it four stars is because it will pick up a hum if it's close to a laptop power brick while operating--it could have better shielding. Maybe the current models do. Anyway, I would rate it a 4.99 if I could, because this is a very minor problem.
BTW: I use a Dell Precision M4600 laptop at work, and record teleconferences with an audio mixer using the narration feature of PowerPoint presentations. The built-in audio port is terrible for this, and the iMic is perfect.
