This mouse over all usuage is pretty neat, It's good for browsing and entertaining usuage, one thing I don't like is that they don't have the middle click or tap enable. That is a very handy feature opening, and closing things. So since this is a touch mouse I think Microsoft should come out with a update with this feature enable. If you are a hardcore gamer or photoshop user, this mouse will not be the one you want to get.

For regular uses along with newer feather this is a good one to get!

I wanted the mouse primarily for the expose feature (activated by 3-finger swipe up). It works, although it is not as natural as I had hoped it would be. I would like it that I can turn off the 3-finger swipe down. I really don't have a need to minimize all windows at once, and accidentally activating it is annoy. Even the accidental 2-finger swipe down is annoying enough.
The hardware needs getting used to. I would have voted for a two button version of this mouse. Just a small slit down the middle would not really make gesturing any more difficult. The hardware I can get used to. But the software really needs some work
I trust that Microsoft is working on more options and feature updates.
I need a gesture equivalent to holding down a middle mouse button for my 3D-modeling work. Only then, can this mouse replace my Logitech Anywhere MX (which gives way more tactile feel to scrolling albeit not as smooth).
Custom gestures configuration will ultimately make this the perfect mouse. For now, we must all just wait.

      Comments about Microsoft Touch Mouse:

I have owned this product for about a year. After a move, I lost the micro receiver. The easiest way to get a new receiver was to take advantage of B&H price of $[$]. As for the mouse, it feels great in the hand. In use, they wireless connection is flawless, and battery life is solid (2-3 months). The main problem is the scrolling is hit or miss. And some times when I click the Left side, it registers as a Right Click.

          Comments about Microsoft Touch Mouse:

I wanted to like this mouse. The concept and the idea make sense. But the execution of the idea leaves a few problems.
          Pros:
          - nice design, fits well in the hand
          - ships with a USB extension, which is perfect when you have your desktop farther away from your keyboard
          - jestures help make more use of Windows 8 features

          Cons:
          - the biggest problem with this mouse is the right-click. It would left-click 80% of the times I tried to right click. I was about to return it until I came across a YouTube video that explained the trick to make right-click work, you have to lift your other "left-click" finger. That's a major drawback, I'm try to retrain myself to lift and then press.
          - the size can be a little small, and i don't have big hands
          - some of the jestures can be too sensitive and misinterpret your actions, for example sometimes when removing my hand off the mouse, it would interpret it as a left-side slide jesture.

            Comments about Microsoft Touch Mouse:

I use this for my laptops. It is a very attractive mouse and except for the novel features, that is as is just about as good as it gets. Right-click often functions like left-click. The cursor randomly does what it wants...it is too sensitive and pages scroll like mad. I got it in January and by May, I've already used two years worth of batteries. For the price...it should respond to verbal commands.

                      Comments about Microsoft Touch Mouse:

Seen the features I hoped for an interesting product. However, after heavily using it for a couple of days, I don't think that it really uses all its potential -or it may simply not Windows "compatible" at all. Simple scrolling is not accurate and feels unresponsive most of the time. The sensors seems not to capture the movement of the fingers well -or is it Windows that is not used to such movements, who knows... So every finger move becomes unnatural as you have to focus on mouse first and then the screen. Rendering it totally useless for working environments.

                      Comments about Microsoft Touch Mouse:

I use the mouse on my i7 Dell laptop instead of the touch pad. I like that you can put the mouse almost anywhere and I like the touch scroll controls. I decided to adjust the thumb scroll and two and three finger scroll through the configuation program. I like that you can move the mouse to navigate or move your fingers on the mouse to navigate.

Great for everyday use. Fits well in the hand.

However, some programs (eg, graphics and CAD) are easier to use with a middle scroll wheel, so for those who need that as a requirement, it may not be the best mouse of choice.

But overall, the combination of touchpad (w/ gestures) and optical mouse are very quick and easy to learn.

Bought this primarily to use with marine navigation software on Windows 7. Biggest plus is that is tracks well on multiple surfaces without a mouse pad. Beyond that, a traditional mouse is just as functional.

My other platforms at home are all Apple and this product just doesn't make the grade when compared to the Magic Mouse.

                                  Comments about Microsoft Touch Mouse:

I like the idea of sliding fingers around -- like on a laptop track pad -- but the combination of sliding my fingers on the mouse surface and moving the mouse on the desk doesn't create a great experience for me. I often end up gesturing when I didn't mean to, causing windows to maximize, minimize, left justify, etc. Scrolling doesn't work very smoothly either. My fingers often make a flicking gesture that causes the window to unintentionally scroll fast instead of nicely controlled.

                                    Comments about Microsoft Touch Mouse:

This mouse is well made, but doesn't work very well. The scroll function is very buggy and almost impossible to use. I was never able to get the left to right scroll to work. Even the left and right click buttons function inconsistently. There is no middle button function. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this mouse until Microsoft fixes its performance.

                                              Comments about Microsoft Touch Mouse:

I use this mouse for my work place, only 2 problems with it is the scrolling and the clicking. Touch scroll is not as stable and the clicking of the mouse is harder than usual. Otherwise everything works great on it.
