The BenQ MX660P DLP Projector is a comprehensive projector, flexible enough for most applications. It offers plenty of control, letting you easily navigate menu screens to change settings. To ensure you'll have smooth presentations and adaptability, the MX660P has integrated various display functions and multiple inputs. It's highlighted by XGA resolution, a brightness of 3000 ANSI Lumens and a 5000:1 contrast ratio. Considering the MX660P has features that ensure high-quality picture performance in several conditions, it's hard to think of an application that would be out of its range.
The display is enhanced by several features including BrilliantColor technology, which uses a five-segment color wheel to reproduce a rich and accurate palate of crisp colors. The Wall Color Correction adjusts the color to get the optimum picture quality when projecting on a background that is not totally white. The MX660 is also prepared for presentations and entertainment that require 3D technology. With 3D capabilities, it can project images in lifelike 3D and make your entertainment more exciting and your presentations more interactive.
Using the HDMI connection for 3D is ideal, but BenQ has integrated several inputs, control terminals and audio jacks with the MX660P. Besides HDMI connectivity, you can use the RCA, S-video and component video inputs. Network connection is achievable through the RS-232 terminal. The dual PC inputs give you the power to connect multiple computers to one projector, which is a plus for presentations. The more options you have, the more you'll get out of each presentation. The audio jacks facilitate mic input and audio output to an external source. There is also a 2W stereo speaker built into the projector which is loud enough for most presentations.
The USB terminals offer several conveniences. They allow you to give PC-less presentations through a USB flash drive. They also offer plug-and-play possibilities and extension support for simultaneous multi-projection display. With an optional BenQ wireless adapter you can also use the USB port to display presentations from your computer wirelessly and execute centralized network control via WLAN connectivity.
For teachers, BenQ has instituted a teaching template function. Aiding educators with four pre-programmed line pattern designs, the template eliminates the need to waste class-time drawing lines for charts, tables, music, etc. The four different designs are projected on your whiteboard and students can easily write music or do work along the lines supplied by the teaching template.
Also great for teachers, the built-in closed caption decoder converts words into subtitles. The subtitles are projected onto the screen, addressing the needs of language students and hearing-impaired viewers. The MX660P is also equipped with a quick cooling option, high altitude mode and MyScreen technology that lets you individualize title screens with your own pictures or video. With so many features and display improvements, the MX660P is a versatile and flexible projector that can be used as an educational tool, but it is adaptable enough to fit seamlessly into your home theater as well.

Comments about BenQ MX660P DLP Projector:
I ordered two projectors for my mosque as we use them during presentations, weekend school classes, etc. We found several good reviews of the product before ordering. I must say that I am very satisfied with the product. It was very easy to connect with a Mac and also with PC. Did not have to play around with any of the settings. The projector is VERY bright, which was amazing. Things that can be improved are that they should provide a slightly longer cable to connect projector to a laptop. The cable that came with it is about 5 ft, which I found a bit short. Also, the projector bag provides little to no protection. I guess both of these can be purchased separately, but for the price and the quality of the projector, I am very pleased with it.

Comments about BenQ MX660P DLP Projector:
I bought 2 of these projectors for our big meeting room (80'x80'x12'H) using 10x7 screens to project on. It is not bright enough when we use full florescent lights in the room but still visible enough. But we use these with incandescent lights most of times anyway, so it's not so much of an issue. Very effective and economical solution for tight-budget organization like us.

I really like the projector. I have it for school use and it works great without dimming the lights very much. Color is decent. It joins very well with a mac.

Comments about BenQ MX660P DLP Projector:
I use the MX660 in small auditoreums and large classrooms. It is significantly brighter and sharper than the CX511 that I purchased 18 ago and was about $200 less. The optics are great, the menus are intuitive, and the soft carrying case is real plus. I use the HDMI input which simplifies my presentation set up significantly. Quick cool down is a great help. I wish that the focus and zoom rings were not quite so course but they work well and I haven't seen drift. I would buy another of these if the requirement comes up.

Comments about BenQ MX660P DLP Projector:
I saw positive reviews and I am posting one myself. Very nice projector. Clean image, nice resolution. Very bright for 3,000 lumens, which I am happy about. However, the bulb is brand new, so we'll see how it stands the test of time.
I do wish it had vertical AND horizontal keystone capability, but oh well. A note to BenQ: I would be willing to pay more for that, as I think many people would.

Comments about BenQ MX660P DLP Projector:
I used this in open court, without dimming the lights, to show photographs and documents to a jury. I needed an HDMI interface as I was using an iPad to show the documents via AppleTV. It performed quite well. I did not use the sound, so I cannot comment on this. The setup was ridiculously easy--plug and play. The interface was very intuitive. Also, the projector is ludicrously light, making it perfect to take with you so that you don't have to rely on unknown equipment. If only screens were so portable!
