Comments about CR6001 Archiver USB Turntable (Black):

I'm trying very hard to record vinyl records and was successful with recording a 78 rpm but tried a 45 and the equipment failed using the same parameters as I did with the 78. I find audacity software very difficult to use and the lack of plug and play software innovation from B&H lacking. Also, I am unable to pick up FM or AM radio signals with this unit.

Comments about CR6001 Archiver USB Turntable (Black):

I had been wanting to get a turntable that would USB to my computer so I could archive my reocrds and cassette tapes. In the B & H catalogue I saw this oen and took a chance. It works great on my 45 RPMs. Haven't yet tried the LPs and cassettes. I twas easy to do. And so great to ehar those songs again. now theya re on my IPod. The only negative was that it took several steps in editing and dividing the input records into separate CD cuts. The instructions for the automoatic method didn't work as described so I had ot do them all manually which was very time consuming. So it took me about twelve hours to imput 60 records and get them on CDs.

Comments about CR6001 Archiver USB Turntable (Black):

It's cheap, and as such, it's cheapely made. It's okay, but it arm is too light and it skip a lot with heavier lp, 180gr or more. The sound is okay. Overall it's good as a secondary system...

I got this as a gift for my boyfriend and he loves it! It's got great speakers and is very sleek and classy looking. It's a bonus on top of all that, that it can be hooked up to the computer and can turn your records into digital music for your iPod. So far we've had it for about a month and have no complaints. Was worth spending the extra money on this quality product!
