The SpiderPro Dual Camera System from Spider Camera Holster is a unique way to have 2 professional DSLRs simultaneously at the ready. Designed to carry heavy-duty pro cameras, this is a serious hip-mounted belt/holster system that provides a way to wear 2 DSLRs on your waist as a cowboy would his six-shooters. This gives you more freedom than you would have with 2 cameras dangling from your shoulders, and is more comfortable, especially over long periods of time. Alternatively, you could carry a camera on your right holster and an extra lens (attached via its tripod mount) on your left holster, or vice-versa. It is recommended that you carry a smaller body/lens combination on one side for maximum comfort during extended shoots.

The SpiderPro Dual Camera System improves upon the Single Camera system with the addition of another SpiderPro Holster, Plate and Pin. It includes a belt made from webbing materials similar to those used in army/police equipment. The belt features a triple-lock buckle and fits most waists with its adjustable 28 - 50" (71.1 - 127 cm) size. The rest of the package consists of a pad for comfort, 2 holsters, 2 camera plates and 2 pins. Using this system, you can remain hands-free while your DSLR hangs at your side, waiting for that grab shot. The SpiderPro belt holds the entire rig, the holsters hold the cameras, the cast aluminum alloy plates attach to the tripod sockets of your cameras and let you easily connect your quick-release for tripod use, and the stainless steel pins attach to the plates. The entire assembly slides into the holsters, which secure to the belt using Spider's 2-position triple lock buckle system. Your cameras stay at your side while retaining complete freedom of movement.

When the cameras are slid into the holster, they lock into place. When placed into the upper portion of the holster, they're ready to be drawn as soon as the lock releases - just as if you were wearing a holstered pistol. This heavy-duty system is targeted at the "run-and-gun" shooter who is constantly on the prowl for that "keeper".

Cameras lock into place each time they're returned to holster - in lower position, locks keep cameras secure for longer-term carrying, and in upper position, locks disengage for quick and easy access
Gives your cameras freedom of movement at your hips, and allows you to carry them comfortably without having weight on your shoulders for extended periods of time
Adjustable belt fits most waists, is made from webbing materials like those used in army/police equipment, and features triple-lock buckle system
Pad for comfort, 2 holsters, 2 aluminum alloy camera plates and 2 stainless steel pins
Extremely durable and designed specifically for active shooting situations

With the dual Spider Holster I carry my 5D Mark III with Pro Flash and 24-70mm F2.8 on one side. On the other side I carry my 70-200mm 2.8 Tamron. Hanging around my neck either my Panasonic GH2 with video light or the 5D Mark III... and I still have my hands and arm free to move or carry a tripod etc. One of the best thing I ever purchased. I strongly reccommend this product to photographer and possibly even HDSLR videographers on the move.

First, as a pro who shoots with 2 bodies it's really difficult to find the right solution to combine speed, ease of use, and camera security.

I love the mechanism of dropping the camera into the holster. It's constructed well and is fantastic.

What's not so great is the belt. When you bolt down the plate and pad onto the belt you prevent belt adjustment so that if you lose or gain a few pounds you've got to use tools and remove plates etc just to let out or pull in the belt. Secondly, there isn't a manufacturer's suspender solution in place. When you've got two pro-DSLR's hanging from your belt it is going to pull your pants off.

Unable to use right out of box. NO instrcutions included. Online videos at manufacturer's website do not directly pertain to this double holster unit. You have to 'guess' how to mechanically instal the second holster onto the belt. I was infirmed a new video will be added to the website. .As of today, I have not used the product

The SpiderPro Dual Camera System is the best dual camera system I have used to date. I made the switch from the Black Rapid dual strap harness and I have no regrets. No more cameras flapping everywhere. I can't recommend this product more!

Comments about Spider Camera Holster SpiderPro Dual Camera System:

I am a wedding photographer based in California and I tried several products like the oem strap, hand strap, wrist strap and Rapid strap... they work fine. But as an event photographer that shoots at 6-10 hours straight, that long duration gives me back pain.

Bought the Spider holster and it seems that solves the problem. Cameras are secure and i got easy access. The only thing that I miss from using Rapid strap are the pockets where I can store memory cards, spare batteries and business cards.

Comments about Spider Camera Holster SpiderPro Dual Camera System:

As a hiker, nature and bird watcher and photographer, I used to carry binoculars, a camera with a short zoom (15-85 mm), a camera with a long lens (300mm f/4 with a 1.4x multiplier), and a back sac. That's a lot of straps, always getting tangled and that must be removed in the exact order they are put in. An additional problem was that I couldn't run or jump without my cameras swinging around, and my long lens would touch the ground every time I bent or kneel down.
After checking different systems on the web, and specially the user reviews, I ordered this SpiderPro Dual Camera System. After trying out a few combinations, I finally settled on having my small lens camera on the right in the recommended position with the lens pointing toward the back. The other camera is attached by the lens bracket, also pointing backward. To achieve a good balance, I moved the holder pin on the "right" position on the plate so that the suspension point is between the camera and the lens bracket. On the left side, the top of the camera (where the flash would attach) cannot point toward the ground as recommended because the big (grip) side of the camera would be pushing and rubbing against the holster pad. Instead, I rotate the lens bracket (attached to the holster plate) to the left of the camera to make the top of the camera point away from me, to my left.
And this works fine. My camera is securely attached, easy to pick up and replace. I can move around freely without the need to always hold and protect my cameras with my hands. And I can wear my binoculars and back sac and they don't interfere with my cameras.
        Very good!

I bought this belt for my step-father. We first saw the item being used at my wedding by one of the photographer. It is a great item if you have 2 or 3 cameras and would like an easy way of carrying them. the limitation is that the user will have issues when taking a seat because the camera lens point toward the back. Other than that it is a great product.

I carry two Nikon D90 cameras, both with battery packs because I do not like to change lenses in the field. I love the SpiderPro holister. My partner added the second holister following the instructions with no issues. I am a woman, 5'4" and the holister sits nicely on my hips and I carry the cameras far more comfortably than I did with them around my neck. They feel secure when in the holisters. I highly recommend this product. It is expensive, but very well made. Neck pain from carrying heavy cameras is no fun.

This a very comfortable way to shoot wedding, the cameras stay put when moving around and you have your arms and hands free to put bride and groom in the right pose without your cameras sliding off your shoulders or having to put them on the ground.

                Kind regards,

I have never been a fan of camera straps, especially when I started carrying two bodies at once. Like many others, I decided to try the Spider Holster based on all the positive reviews. I honestly couldn't be happier with this system. The build quality is excellent, and I don't worry about the safety of my gear. Once you get the belt sized appropriately, it's a breeze to use. The largest setup I carry on one side is a Nikon D3 with 70-200 2.8 and a spedlight. It is not a problem at all. To me, the hanging position of the gear is no different than it was with a strap; you just don't have to deal with the annoying strap getting in the way. I highly recommend this system to anyone that is looking for an alternative to the traditional methods of carrying one or more cameras.

First let me start off by saying the craftsmanship and design of the belt and the one attached holster is very well made but with that being said I should have listened to the one reviewer who warned about the second holster, that you have to literally take apart and attach it to the belt with lousy instructions on how to do it. I emailed the manufacture and they basically informed me that the way the second holster is designed, they couldn't have it already attached like the other holster, sounds like a lazy cope out answer to me so I ended up returning this item for a full refund because when something this expensive requires this much work to use, it's not worth the effort because the designers of this disappointment should have found a way to have the second holster already installed like the other one so save yourself the aggravation and find a better option.

Great product, let's me work hands free to arrange props or carry stuff without my camera swinging around getting in the way. It's very secure, I never have to second guess if my camera is going to stay put. I have heard of people having issues of bumping their cameras into stuff, I just turn sideways and slip through if it's narrow. Love it, it fits my way of shooting and interaction with clients.

Comments about Spider Camera Holster SpiderPro Dual Camera System:

I carry a 7D (usually with a 100-400 or 70-200 L series lens mounted) and a 5D (with either a 16-35 or 24-105 L series lens) and the system works just fantastic. I've gotten used to getting the cameras in and out of the holsters without having to look down.Like some others have said, the assembly instructions are just terrible. They are hosted on the manufacturers website and are really confusing. It is strange to me because they have so many good "how to" videos about their products. They really need to upgrade the instructions.

Comments about Spider Camera Holster SpiderPro Dual Camera System:

I used this the holster for the first time this past weekend while hiking two mountains. It was comfortable for entire six hours. I was able to climb rocks and duck under fallen brush without any problems. Heck, even going through narrow paths it wasn't a problem as I was about to swing it to the front/back and squeeze through places. It fit me, 6'1/180lbs, with minimal adjustments.

Better than shoulder bandoleros since these leave your hands free. Great for lots of clambering around outdoors. I keep one full-frame with wide angle and one APS-C with tele on either hip. Durable, well-designed pro-grade gear.

I have Blackrapid DR-2 and RS sport. However, when I use them with large lens and flash, my shoulder will feel painful if I use it over 5 hrs.
The Spider gives me the most comfort on carrying camera set with flash for over 11 hrs working.

The belt works well to help alleviate back and neck strain. Very helpful to have both cameras available to shoot at a moment's notice. The belt does cause some discomfort/awkwardness when wearing more formal attire like a suit... if your pants are not snug you may notice them being pushed down- especially if you wear a dress belt. That being said, the holster is the better of the two options.

I used BlackRapid straps for a while until I switched to this Spider holster system. I find it much easier for handling my 2 heavy pro slr cameras. Resting the camera weight on my hip and legs is much more comfortable tha puting the load on my shoulders.
The Pro Base & Pin is great design which allows quick mounting/unmounting camera to tripod without fussing with changing between the Pro Base plate and the tripod mounting plate. My only small disappointment is that the camera on the left hand side cannot rest flat against my body like the camnera on the right hand side.
