The CineBags CB-25B Revolution Backpack is the ultimate on-location pack to hold all your camera gear, accessories and even your laptop! The CB-25B replaces the CB-25A and is the more evolved version of the previous HD Backpack from CineBags. The CB-25B has charcoal-colored webbing and black and grey embroidering. There are 4 exterior pouches in total. The top pouch features a u-shaped oversized zipper and large opening for easy access, while smaller pouches and a large cargo pouch for bigger accessories have been added on the side. A fleece-lined pouch protects filters or sunglasses. Durable and made from breathable material, this pack also features a 3D padded back panel and a padded customizable interior with dust cover. Waterproof material with a pullout rain cover has got you covered when the elements hit. There's even a pen and small tool organizer and an ID pouch. The pack comes with a novelty keychain featuring the CineBags logo.

Carry the pack using the large padded shoulder harnesses and waist belt, or the large carry handle. A nice bonus is the laptop pouch that holds a 17" MacBook Pro or other computer of the same or similar size. The Revolution Backpack is designed for the following cameras: Panasonic HVX 200, HPX 170, HMC 150, DVX 100, Sony EX1, HVR-Z1U, HDR-V1U, and Canon XH A1, XH G1 and the 5D MK2 and 7D DSLRs, as well as other cameras of similar size.

This bag is just perfect! I'm part of a group that does disaster response training. We have always used video and photos to record the training for review and demo and decided to expand our video acquisition and content development possibilities a few months ago.

    Since we go all around the world presenting this training and developing new content and courses I needed a "one bag" production studio solution that I could carry on an airplane, In this bag I have;

Two Sony cameras (PXW-X70 and FDR-AX100), battery chargers, batteries, wireless mic transmitter and receiver and microphones, two SD card portfolios, shotgun mic, shock mount, white balance cards, two remote camera controllers, two off camera zoom controllers, misc brackets, cables for everything, and misc camera accessories for both cameras. In addition to the camera stuff I have a 15" Macbook Pro and charger, accessories and a two TB HD. It all fits very nicely.

The construction of the bag appears to be top-notch. Plenty of pockets and very heavy duty zippers make this bag appear indestructible. There is also a built in rain slicker in it own compartment. Padding and protection in the main compartment is excellent!

I thought at first I would not like the rear entry access to the main camera compartment but it is actually great. Just lay the bag on its front and unzip the entire backside for easy access to the entire (almost) camera compartment.

There is a nice large pouch on the front of the case that you could literally stuff a portable tripod (or two) into when you move into the field.

This bag is as close to a "one bag" acquisition solution as I could imagine. As you well know there is always more "stuff" that you need on any shoot which is why I also pack a second "optional" bag. The rest of my field kit I pack into a Pelican case that rides in the belly of the airplane.

The backpack design makes it incredibly portable and perfectly suited to MY NEEDS.

I'd been looking to replace my old ThinkTank Streetwalker Pro with something that held a laptop, had a better waist belt, and had a little more space. Someone recommended CineBags to me and the CB-25B looked like it'd be a good fit. Well, it sucks. I don't know how it has such a high rating on B&H. Thanks to waaay too thick internal dividers, it barely holds more than my Streetwalker (thought it does hold a laptop of course) and with the same amount of equipment is unbearably uncomfortable. It puts a ton of pressure on my lower back, to the point that I was sore after just trying it out for a few minutes. Maybe it's designed for people bigger than me as I can barely get the waist strap tight enough to be useful.I seriously regret buying it. I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in a product.

Comments about CineBags CB-25B Revolution Backpack:

I bought this bag four-maybe- five years ago to make a documentary in Rwanda. I had no idea what I might encounter for power and/or accommodations in Africa so I needed to pack a lot into a small space. Today, I still use this bag for air travel and it's killer! My gear fits great and I use a lot of clothes inside for extra packing just in case I get surprised and an airline makes me throw it in "the hold". Be advised, it's possible to pack it full enough to exceed carry on rules. BUT, the worst I've had to do is hand it to the baggage man at the end of the walk in ramp at the gate.

My gear that has been tested and used on trips in this bag:
-Sony PMW EX1 or Sony PMW F3 with lenses (not both at once)
-solar power chargers and electrical chargers
-7-8 batteries and assorted media cards/filters
    -IBM ThinkPad 15 inch laptop
-about three days worth of clothes and toiletries

One very, very great quality of this bag for international travel is the ability to keep your camera hidden in a crowd. In fact, the TSA guys would never even find the camer in this bag if I didn't pull it out for them. The camera compartment is very well concealed and safe.

I own several top quality bags from Cinebags/Porta Brace/Kata and Petrol. This bag is one of the most useful ever.

I normally don't geek out this hard about backpacks! I just like everything about it. The build quality is excellent. The design is very intelligent. I used every single nook and cranny of this pack- traveling with a dslr, two lenses, audio gear, batteries, laptop, accessories, etc. in Africa for a documentary.

It fits well in the overhead compartment on a plane, but won't go under the seat very well. (Not a huge deal really.) It was super handy on location just having everything i needed on my back and easy to find.

Comments about CineBags CB-25B Revolution Backpack:

I had a problem with the main compartment zipper (a problem that certainly could not be blamed on CineBags, but was a component they obtained from a vendor). Nevertheless, they provided the most outstanding customer service I have ever received from a BHPhoto vendor. This is also the most rugged, most practical bag I've ever owned and the biggest one I've been able to find that will still fit into the overhead compartment on an airliner (because do you really want to check your expensive camera bodies and lenses as checked luggage?)--although I do have to remove my laptop in order to squeeze it in there some of the time. Highly recommend this product--and this company.

I owned the older model of this bag the CB-25A and used it for several years until I literally made it fall apart. The camera I use in it is a Sony Z7U and I use to have to remove the eye piece and mic before it would fit. Not with this model, much bigger and better layout of pockets. This is a heavy duty bag that can take a beating. When this one wears out, I'll get another.

I always keep my monopod and tripod in the back of that bag without a problem. I use the side pockets for my battery charger, extra cords and food of course! I would defiently recommend this bag to someone!

I shoot with a Sony NX5U video cam, and I was worried that this bag would be just a bit too small. As it is, everything fits perfectly, and there are enough small pockets to hold my camera-mounted light, spare batteries, mic cords and other accessories. The padded pack is a comfortable fit, whether on my back or in my hand via the thick rubber handle on top. This replaced my PortaBrace, over-the-shoulder back, which I was also happy with but wasn't as versatile as this CineBags pack.

I've used this backpack to consolidate the three separate bags I was using for my various equipment needed for different shoots. It's got pockets for everything, of all shapes and sizes, and it just works perfectly. I use it for all my RED accessories (batteries, charger, transfer equipment), as well as my basic sound equipment (Zoom, wireless sets, shotgun mic, headphones). And there is still room for my laptop (in it's own padded pocket), slate, and a bunch of other things that I'm forgetting.

I use this bag for my Sony HXR-NX3 video camera. It fits perfectly and is completely safe with the incredible amount of adjustable velcro cushion that comes with the bag.
My 15" mac book pro fits like a glove and has enough protection surrounding it as well.
The straps are strong and well built and the rain cover located underneath the bag is so impressive when you pull it out and place it over your bag.
I contacted Cinebags regarding the zipper pull colors I wanted to change on my bag and I received such a quick, fast and courteous response (from Markus Davids) and the new zipper kit colors are in route already.
What a great bag and just as great customer support.
I will definitely be purchasing more accessories from Cinebags.
                            Thank you Cinebags!

I'm a pro working mostly run & gun, both video and stills. Normally solo or with only a couple extra guys when budget allows. This carry-on bag supplements another carry-on roller for critical cameras and audio. -Need to know I have what it takes with me to do the job when the other cases are lost by airline wizardry. I NEVER check my cameras.

GOOD: Lots of exterior pockets is great. Quick access to laptop for the plane, great straps and belt, rain cover. I love this thing and won't leave home w/out it.

BAD: No idea. Haven't found it yet.

Even though I just bought this bag I have been using them on productions for years. This newest update is even more durable and well orginized. Only complaint is you can not remove the inside dust cover to use as a workspace on the ground outside of the bag.

The backpack rides well. The access panel on the rear is hard to use, but the rain fly does protect well when opening. While it does have a lot of room. Some add ons would be nice like a hip belt pocket.

Bigger than expected, which is a good thing in my opinion. I am pleased with the comfort and build of the bag. I was looking at other bags from other brands and styles, but pulled the trigger on this one and not looking back(pack) HA! Great bag. Many pockets for smaller accessories for quick access and larger pockets for everything else.

Comments about CineBags CB-25B Revolution Backpack:

First thing to note, you access the main compartment from the front of the bag (that's the side that faces front, meaning your back) It's a little odd at first, and it is a little annoying while on location to constantly be flipping the bag over to access various pouches. But this is a backpack, not a shoulder bag or case, it's bound to function a little differently.

I have mine loaded up with 5 lenses, matte box, 2 DSLR bodies, Benro monopod, tons of batteries, lens cleaning gak and other various pieces of kit and I still have room for a few more items if need be. And will all of that gear the bag is not overloaded. It rests comfortably on my back and the weight is nicely balanced. No, it's not as nice as my big Kelty I use for a week in the backcountry, but I'm not taking this to the backcountry anyway.

If you know LA, I hiked from Ferndell up past the Observatory to Mt. Hollywood with this bag fully loaded and it was perfectly comfortable the whole way. I like this bag. Will happily take it up Mt. Baldy soon.

The zippers on the larger side pouches do tend to bind up if you don't use two hands, kind of annoying, but more a function of the pocket shape than the zipper itself. Also, the way the straps across the back work they really aren't useful for much, more decoration. Might just cut mine off cause they can get in the way. Also also, the loop at the bottom to capture leg of tripod (or monopod in my case) hangs below bottom of bag. That makes it so you can't set the bag down on it's base, you have to lean it over on one side or remove the monopod.

It fits my Dell Precision 15", but I have a separate Pelican for that, so I won't really be using that pocket for a computer.
