Comments about Sensei 77mm Screw-In Metal Lens Cap:

I'm a careful person but still lost four lens caps that came with my Canon L-series lens because the plastic caps fall off too easily. I haven't lost any since replacing them with these Sensei metal caps. Also, I'm comforted how these metal caps are protecting my lens much better and keep my UV filters cleaner. It's worth a couple of seconds to screw and unscrew — so smooth. And, what a value!!!

Comments about Sensei 77mm Screw-In Metal Lens Cap:

I use a Black Rapids strap for my D3. Well the problem with having a camera at the hip is the lens cap will hit said hip and pop off. This is especially a problem with shorter length lenses like the 50mm and 20mm primes. I was constantly picking up my lens cap. One evening I lost the lens cap and said "no more". I bought this metal screw on cap and couldn't be happier.
As a former QA Tech, i'd love to find a problem with it, but cannot.
If pushed into a corner, i'd say it's heavy. Its made of real metal, so I think a tether would be a bad idea for it.
                    But the quality is there.
                    It looks nice as well.

Lost my Canon Lenscap somewhere in the Hill Country of Texas and was distraught knowing I didn't have a cap on my expensive lens. So as soon as I got back to computer I purchased 3 of these for spares. All my lenses are 77mm. Nice build.

If you're losing lenscaps in environments where the lens is constantly jostled by people, brush, activities, etc., and you value lenscap protection with slight inconvenience over the pinch lenscap design, this should do nicely for you.

Comments about Sensei 77mm Screw-In Metal Lens Cap:

I use these caps on some of my lenses because I'm always knocking caps off in my camera bag. This prevents that from happening, and is a little classy-looking to boot. Looks just as pictured, and seems to be manufactured well. Threads on smoothly, no defects in finish, etc. Not a bad price, either. These are not for someone who needs to mount/remove a lens cap quickly. They are a bit fiddly to use, though the security is worth it for me.
