The Kurzweil SP4-8 88-Key Stage Piano is the successor to the popular SP88/X, and it delivers world-class sound quality and intuitive functionality to the hands of musicians on stage, recording studios, rehearsals and more. Its light weight and considerable small profile feature 88 hammer action keys .
The SP4-8 features up to 128 factory presets that include the Triple Strike Grand Piano, classic electric pianos, lush strings, orchestral instruments, and top notch basses, guitars, winds, brass, percussion and drums. Musicians can easily create splits of up to 4 zones at the touch of a button, and the SP4-8's USB port makes it MIDI compatible with DAW software. The SP4-8's OS software is easily updated via USB and also load programs created on the PC3 and PC3LE series keyboards.

Featuring 128 hand-picked programs taken directly from our acclaimed PC3 line, the SP4-8 delivers the best of the best in every category of sound, with Kurzweil's famous Triple Strike Grand Piano, classic electric pianos and lush strings and orchestral instruments, along with top notch basses, guitars, winds, brass, percussion and drums. Also included are some signature KB3 organs, with all KB3 parameters accessible via external MIDI control. Furthering the sonic pallet, the SP4 can also load programs created on our PC3 and PC3LE series keyboards*; additional sounds are also available for download on the Kurzweil website. Its 16-part multitimbral architecture makes the SP4-8 a powerful tool for writing and recording music in conjunction with an external sequencer or Desktop Audio Workstation.

Everything from flawless concert hall reverbs and crisp delays to powerful distortion and amp simulation effects add another layer of depth and realism that can only be found in a Kurzweil. The most relevant effects parameters have been mapped to the SP's Timbre knob, so you can customize your sound without having to dive into menus or manuals.

This is the second Kurzweil keyboard I have gotten from B&H that has a electrical issue. Both have had electric noise in the audio when you hit the keys. The first, a CP-3x was so bad it nearly blew out my speakers. Too bad because the product itself is really good, easy to program, good sounds and great touch. Third time a charm so I'm trying one last time.
