Comments about TP-Link 5-Port Unmanaged Gigabit Desktop Switch:

First off, Kudos to B&H. They had the best price and shipped very quickly. As for the switch, it truly is plug and play. Plastic case but for something that will rarely be touched, I saw no need to pay more for a metal case. My cable run from my router is 75 ft. to the switch. I plugged in a desktop and smart TV to the switch. It works flawlessly streaming Netflix and YouTube videos. No freezes or buffering. TP-Link did a good job on this one. At this price point, You cannot ask for better. I would buy again.

Comments about TP-Link 5-Port Unmanaged Gigabit Desktop Switch:

I purchased this item to provide a wired connection to each the various components in my home theater setup; Apple TV, Roku3, Smart TV, PC. Since I had only a single ethernet cable to my components, this switch was perfect. Setup was simple; unpack, plug in the power adapter, plug in my ethernet cable (going back to my router) and plug in ethernet from the switch to each component. Done!!!

Comments about TP-Link 5-Port Unmanaged Gigabit Desktop Switch:

I purchased this to handle a weak wifi signal in my basement where I have a desktop and smart TV. So, I debated whether to get a wifi extender or a switch. Decided it was worth it to run a cable from my router to the basement and use a switch. This one time install was worth it. Nothing beats wired. This switch really is plug and play. No issues at all. Netflix and YouTube stream fast and flawlessly. Kudos to B&H as well for super fast shipping. Received it in 2 days.

Comments about TP-Link 5-Port Unmanaged Gigabit Desktop Switch:

Nowhere near the prices of other switches, but the same level of performance. It is a little larger than normal, but only a couple inches. Since I have it out of view it doesn't really matter to me. No heat issues.

The only thing keeping this from a 5-star rating is the size of the power adapter. Because it is large on one side, it can block an outlet on a power strip.

This standard low end desktop switch works fine for workstations or printers. I would not suggest such a low-end switch to run servers, but in a small office environment, it may suffice. It is dirt cheap and works simply.

Comments about TP-Link 5-Port Unmanaged Gigabit Desktop Switch:

Super-fast, small and efficient. What else would anyone want in a switch. Eliminates the bottleneck of a router for fast LAN interactivity and backups. Plug-and-play and the price is right.

B&H is great to deal with. Received quickly in perfect condition.
