Does a great job of holding my cicular polarizing lens. Also does a good job as a lens hood if you're not shooting too close into the sun. When needed, I can easily screw on my tulip lens hood. The adapter tube does cause some slight vignetting at the corners when shooting at the extream wide angle of my Kodak Z612.
