The reason for me buying this was to read my camera sd card. I tried to activate the share button on the camera and it messed things up. I couldn't get my camera pictures off. The card reader works very will and it reads three different sizes. Also, it comes with an extension cable which is really nice. Another good thing is it's plug and play which means you don't have to install any software to run it. I don't have anything bad to report on it.

I purchased this card reader after researching options for uploading images to first- and second-gen iPads using the Apple USB adapter. This unit draws little enough power to run off of the iPad port and it's come in very handy for quick, on-site transmission when a laptop isn't feasible. It will work just fine on a laptop/desktop, but don't expect blazing download speeds (what else can you ask for from a $[$] reader?)The most important thing to note is how unreliable the card insert slot is. There is VERY little overlap for the card in the reader and any misalignment can bend a pin, or worse, damage the card. I always push the card in very slowly, but even so I've had to use fine pliers to fix an errant pin.If it weren't for the iPad compatibility, I would have gone with a slightly more expensive and more reliable reader.

Comments about Kodak A250 50-in-1 Card Reader:

I'm a pro photographer and I need a pro card reader. I should have never made the mistake of purchasing this one. Not only did I have difficulty getting it to actually fit my CF cards, once it did it was hit or miss as to whether or not it would actually read the things.Oh and the best part? It corrupted one of my cards after I spent 20 minutes trying to get it to recognize it. So, yeah, take a pass here. I'll never buy another Kodak product for my photography needs again.

This is an amazing device that Kodak has made/produced...it works and works amazingly well. 6.15.2014, I had to develop a graphic for the Bunker Hill Day Parade in Boston, not only did I have my camera, but the Kodak card reader, I saved the day!! This card reader is efficient and works well...even though I own several, I carry this one!Ted LewisBNN-TV

But how would a reader let you down you might ask? Well being incredibly slow id one thing, but also being unable to read cards is a fatal flat.
This reader has never let me down.

Comments about Kodak A250 50-in-1 Card Reader:

IT does as advertised. I needed it for CF cards and it was able to read the files very quickly. My only problem, if you could call it that, was that its such a big item that I cannot use any of my other usb slots while using this product. In the perfect world, this product would be skinny enough to allow me access to my other usb slots so I could upload my photos directly from the card reader to my external hard drive.

Pretty convenient. Use it for my Type 1 CF Card. Has a better fit than other card readers so you don't end up bending the pins, which often happens in other readers.

Comments about Kodak A250 50-in-1 Card Reader:

I bought this for my CF card and it does the job. However, I wish the card slid into the slot easier. It's a litlte difficult and I'm always worried I'm going to break it on accident.

I love this card reader.....it's built well, small and easy to plug in to my USB extention cable that is always accessible on my Mac, one less full size card reader that has to stay in my work area. It's also small enough to through in my briefcase if I need to be on the go.
