Product Highlights
  • Attaches Securely to Shoe-Mount Flash
  • Enhances Skin Tones
  • Glamorous, Very Soft Light
  • 2x Size of Regular Lite-Scoop
  • Almost Completely Eliminates "Red-Eye"
  • Fast Change from Portrait to Landscape
  • Unique Shape Covers Widest Angle Lenses

The Super-Scoop II Flash Modifier from Lite Genius is the much bigger sibling of the Scoop-Lite--a little accessory that makes a big difference in photos taken using your on-camera flash. The Super-Scoop II produces even softer, more glamorous light, eliminating ugly, harsh shadows and directing the light from above--usually better for photos of people. It virtually eliminates "red-eye" and enhances skin tones.

The Super-Scoop II attaches quickly and very securely to a shoe-mount flash using elastic fabric and touch-tabs, and can be simply changed when you move from horizontal to vertical orientation and back. The shape of the reflector makes it possible to cover even your widest wide-angle lenses, and it lies flat, so it fits into your camera bag more easily. It's effective indoors or out, with a loss of light from the flash of 2/3 of a stop.

A durable, lightweight white reflector with a professional black exterior finish.
Easily attached to any rotating/tilting head speedlight - Canon, Nikon, Sigma, Metz, Vivitar, etc without the use of sticky disfiguring touch fasteners. The permanent, strong fabric/elastic strap and touch-tabs allow for quick and easy on or off for changing light situations.
Changing from portrait to landscape style is very quick while the Lite Genius Lite-Scoop reflector keeps the light coming from a position higher than the lens.
The reflector's unique shape covers your widest angle lenses - this is the key to the Lite-Scoop reflector's incredible photographic results.
The reflector enhances skin tones, almost completely eliminates "red-eye" and softens shadows, placing them behind and below the subject.
Unlike using ceiling bounce flash, even with a "bounce card", high and colored ceilings pose no problem for the Lite-Scoop reflector.
Nearly twice the size of the standard Lite-Scoop light modifier.
Construction Soft foam reinforced by embedded steel shape supports
Dimensions 8.5 x 11.5" (21.59 x 29.21 cm)

Comments about Lite Genius Super-Scoop II Flash Modifier:

I researched several light reflector/diffusers before deciding on the Lite Genius. Over all I'm glad I did because it works as well or better than the video demonstration shows. Mfg claims the unit captures and throws roughly 85% of the flash output forward. I bet it does because I get incredible exposures now from a lot farther back and I'm quite confident I won't have any trouble with the upcoming low-light wedding shoot-in-a-tomb venue with a Nikon DSLR / 70-200 VR 2.8 and a SB910 flash and NO bounce light options. The Super-Scoop throws sufficient light all the way to the end of the 200mm zoom / +/- 30'! I also got the Lite-Scoop II which is smaller, but also works quite well. It's a perfect fit for the 17-55 f2.8 and the SB600 unit. The larger Super-Scoop works a bit cleaner at close distances because it spreads out the light a bit more. Watch the video so you know how to use them properly moving between landscape and portrait. These things weigh nothing and the fastening strap is top notch bungee/Velcro. Why only 4 stars?? If there was a 4.5 stars, I'd pick it, but the dock here is because despite the scoops' evident shape-design quality, the scoops' material is awfully light weight foam core material with a thin wire inner frame. They seem a bit delicate for the work environment. I just think they are a bit pricey for the material used, but DANG they work! Just don't beat them up.

Comments about Lite Genius Super-Scoop II Flash Modifier:

This works well, diffuses and reflects the light nicely without losing light (like the Stofen and Gary Fong Lightsphere) however the materials this modifier is constructed from is a thin wire between two thin layers of foam! If this would have been priced half of what I payed (it would still be overpriced) it would get a five stars. For the price I payed for this two stars are taken off.
It doesn't feel durable and I'm not sure how long it's going to last. It does bend out of shape if squashed flat, so you need to have enough room in your gearbag for this.
If you don't mind paying this price for foam, then it does work well. I like the light output from this light modifier a lot but not for lighting subjects/items less than 5 feet away.

        if you struggle...

Comments about Lite Genius Super-Scoop II Flash Modifier:

hello, if you look this post, you might have a same problem with me. as a photographer, i always need soft and even lights on my subject. to make this happen i used several different diffusers. my first diffuser was gary ppong. well, it was good product but didnt satisfy me as much as i expected. my second one was winglight which was pretty good. but i have to change wings (put wings on or off) in certain situations. but i recently need to do one event shooting and try to look for something else just in case. (so, winglight actually worked good to me)

i was on youtube and found one channel for this scoop. on youtube video, there was kind looking grand father explains about scoop. he is telling how different size of scoops would work and good camera settings for scoop. he is teaching very easy and kind, like telling his grand chilldrens. but i wanted to make sure before i really puchase this scoop so, i emailed him with many questions. and he replied me back with honest and organized answers. he gave me very good trust and i purchased. B&H shipped me right on time as usual for everyone.

on my event shooting day, i love the photos with this scoop. colors and tones came out soft and warm enough. and once i set up, i just need care the light amount on my speedlite. my client loves my work. :)

one more thing to tell you is the size. yes it is big. but it is portable and super light. it won't hurt anyone even though you bump someone with scoop.

okay i think i pretty much told you about my reviews on super scoop. i really recommend and i hope this review helps you little for your own photography.

        thank you :)

This is a great way to get good somewhat diffused light when it's limited. I'm not completely crazy about the dead center catch lights (as opposed to those that come from a light source NOT directly in front of them), but it serves its purpose well when needed. It has definitely come in handy to have in my bag.

I used this at a private home event and it worked wonderfully. Perfect fit for any flash, light was perfect - even when flipping the camera to portrait the reflector was above the camera.
