Black Large Women's Stretch Gloves from Freehands will keep you warm and dry during all kinds of outdoor activities. The thinsulate lining provides a wind and waterproof way to ski, board, shovel or just enjoy the winter months. However, even on warmer winter days, you'll find the gloves are lightweight and comfortable to wear.
However, it's not always about pursuing hard work outdoors so these gloves have been made flexible by adding reinforced fold-back thumb and index finger tips that will permit you to use your phone or text. The magnetically secured fold-back tips will give you easy access to using your phone's functions. In addition, the palm area has been designed to assure a firm grip on whatever you're holding.

After doing a fair amount of online research for cold weather gloves, I tried on several pairs of Freehands cold weather gloves in the store, both men's and women's but there was no Women's large. Usually I wear size medium adult gloves but the medium these gloves seem to run small and the medium did not cover my entire palm. I ordered a Women's large and man's Medium and found the former fit quite well. I tried calling the manufacturer for more information as to fit, but they never answered their phone.
As to the cold: I wore the gloves to take pictures outdoors in New England with no liner gloves underneath and they were adequate for a limited time, although my thumb and forefinger, the two fingers exposed when I pulled back the glove tips, got cold. For truly frigid weather something more would be needed. One can click the shutter even with the gloves fully on, without removing the tips.
These are also comfortable, and less bulky than some of my other gloves or mittens, for everyday fairly cold weather wear. I don't know how long they will last but they seem well made, and the price was significantly lower than those from AquaTech.

Great gloves but order one size larger.
Great lightweight gloves and perfect for photography, but they were too tight. I had to return them and order the next size larger.

Use in photo situations where it's too cold to shoot with bare hands. Easy to move the finger tips over. Someone mentioned to me about magnets and the close proximity with the memory cards in camera. I haven't had an issue.

Comments about Freehands Women's Stretch Gloves (Large, Black):
I have tried various strategies for keeping my hands warm while shooting in the cold: everything from knit gloves (so they aren't bulky), to fingerless gloves so I don't lose dexterity in handling the camera. Anything that kept my hand sufficiently warm left me with difficulties manipulating camera buttons. Anything that allowed me freedom to use the camera left my hands cold.
These gloves truly do give the best of both worlds. I especially like that only one thumb and finger tip are exposed to the air, keeping the rest of my hands warm. It's incredibly easy to flip the glove tips out of the way when I need to shoot, so I can wait until right before the shot to do it, so I no longer have to have my fingers exposed to the cold "just in case". The magnets that hold the finger tips out of the way are placed well, so they pretty much do the grabbing for you.
I had to return the women's large size and order the men's medium instead, due to fit. I don't fault the gloves for that, though. My hands are on the large size, so it was not totally unexpected. By checking the website for the manufacturer I discovered that one size up from women's large is men's medium. They are a little wider, with slightly longer fingers.

The first day of wearing the gloves I needed to change the hook on the dogs collar..it was snowy and cold. with out this feature. I would have removed my glove. I didn't realize how useful this little feature would become. no, my phone didn't ring, buy I needed to wipe snow off my eyes, one finger was all I needed.
the fit was perfect for the fingers( I ordered a size larger than usual)but the thumb was a little long.

Comments about Freehands Women's Stretch Gloves (Large, Black):
I went by previous reviews and ordered a size up (large) and ended up exchanging them for a medium, which fit perfectly. My hands are about average in size, so I would order your regular size. B&H was great about the exchange. Seemed to happen almost overnight with no extra shipping charges except I had to pay return shipping. The quality of the gloves is good, but I'm not sure I'd say great, but they are nice and warm, and comfortable to wear. I love the flip back thumb & index finger for camera use. That works perfectly. Overall pleased, especially for the discounted price! Very pleased with B&H.

Comments about Freehands Women's Stretch Gloves (Large, Black):
I bought these to use with both video and DSLR cameras. I have been using glove liners with fingerless mittens. I always have cold hands. These seem like they will be good in moderately cold temperatures but in temperatures below 20, my hands are not staying warm with these gloves. The sizes seem to run small but the fit is nice. The magnet that holds the folded finger tip back doesn't seem to stay put when I bend my hands.

I needed gloves that will keep my hands warm and will give me the freedom to work with the camera.
These gloves were just what I needed.
I love the magnets that hold to tip of the fingers.
The only problem I had was that the two open fingers were perfect but the other three were a little bit too big.

Comments about Freehands Women's Stretch Gloves (Large, Black):
The design of these gloves is fine and they are certainly warmer than any alternative I have found! Unfortunately, B&H only gives a sizing chart for the men's gloves and not the women's(!?!) I usually wear a women's large so I decided to chance it and they were too tight. I exchanged for a men's medium, which was well within my hand measurement on the men's sizing chart and they were still snug but a little bigger. Overall, a good idea and a good glove but they do run small.
