The medium black Men's Leather Gloves from Freehands allow you to access small buttons on your camera without taking them off. They provide a snug fit that contains a comfortable knit lining made from a combination of cashmere, wool and nylon. The leather exterior is accented by an elastic wrist band designed to keep out the cold by holding firmly against your skin. A leather palm patch is sewn into the glove for added durability.

Whereas normal gloves might be difficult to use in cold weather, these glove’s finger tips open so you can more easily access small buttons on your camera. When you need to access buttons on your camera, simply pull back the finger tips of the gloves to reveal your fingers. The tips are secured in place by magnets until you are ready to cover your fingers again. This comes in handy when using a camera or smart phone.

      Comments about Freehands Men's Leather Gloves (Medium, Black):

      I live in the northeast and have multiple pairs of gloves - from light liners to ski gloves to down mittens. Waterproof, breathable, leather, nylon - I have a whole array. I've tried gloves with rubber or tacky leather fingertips for cold-weather photography but none has worked for me until now. Most often, I would have to take my gloves off so I can operate my camera's controls.

      I first ordered the Freehands stretch gloves but I returned it because it did not provide me with enough warmth, and it was "breathable" so my hands felt chilly even in light wind. I exchanged that pair for leather ones.

      Upon receipt of this latter pair, I was a little bit disappointed with the amount of padding inside. I have two other pairs of leather gloves and they feel warm and cushy inside. This one - not so much.

      I quickly overcame my reservations for three main reasons:
      1. having a thinner lining means more "feel" to the camera as you're holding it;
      2. a less bulky pair of gloves makes me slip my hand inside my Op-Tech wrist strap with ease;
      3. folds very flat - easy to pack inside a small side pocket.

      I like the magnets in the fold-back fingertips. Really keeps things out of the way.

      I used this during a late spring trip to Zion NP. Temp in the low-40's with strong winds/significant wind chill (about mid-30's), especially at "The Narrows." Early morning until after sunset sessions. As expected, the jointed finger areas will let the cold in - easily remedied by making a light fist with your hands when not shooting. Otherwise my hands stayed fairly warm! I just hope the thin lining would last several seasons.

      Comments about Freehands Men's Leather Gloves (Medium, Black):

      Th gloves are quite good. In my case the index finger of the glove is a bit long, but thats not the glove's fault. Some such variations would exist. The good part is that it is stylish enough that it can be used as a day-to-day glove for professional use. However, it is not warm enough for Minnesota winters, where some weeks it may not be the glove to wear. I have two improvements to suggest: 1) the second magnet embedded in the index finger, to which the top of the index finger can be attached to, after pulling it off, and over the finger is positioned right above the paroximal inter-phalangeal joint (2nd joint down from finger nail). What this does is that if you keep your finger bent, such as when holding a steering wheel, the hard magnet digs into the bone and begins to hurts, after a few minutes. If the magnet was just slightly above or below current position, or of a slightly different shape, this may not happen. 2) the botton at the base of the glove is purely for style. It cannot be used to, for example, tighten the glove around the wrist. Why not just remove it, or allow for two positions, to fit around thinner and wider wrists?

          Comments about Freehands Men's Leather Gloves (Medium, Black):

          Good quality leather, snug fit, and the little finger caps come off (and importantly) go back on very securely. Perfect for cold weather and stylish enough to wear as normal gloves without any tell-tale sign of their other function. I've also found them good for the iphone - I don't need my little stylus so much anymore.
