The 7-Slot USB 2.0 Internal Memory Card Reader & Writer from Sabrent is a PC desktop upgrade that lets you add an internal card reader to the front panel (3.5") of your desktop by connecting to an existing USB header on your motherboard (Most Pentium 2 and newer motherboards have them, and most are not used).
The Sabrent reader is equipped with 7 slots to accommodate all the latest models of flash media on the market today, including the latest SDHC/SDXC, Micro SDHC/SDXC and M2 slots. Data sharing is quick and easy between media types or to your PC. Plus, you gain easy access to an additional USB 2.0 port on your front panel.
The fully-enclosed aluminum housing provides secure installation while effectively dissipating heat, and two LEDs confirm power and activity. This card reader provides transfer speeds of up to 480 Mbps and is reverse compatible with USB 1.1. A set of screws is included so you can secure the card reader to your Windows, Mac or Linux-based desktop.

Comments about Sabrent 7-Slot USB 2.0 Internal Memory Card Reader & Writer:
The first time I used it it worked, and I was so happy. Then the next time I turned on the computer and tried it, nothing. I guess I kinda expected this, apparently it is impossible to get a proper internal card reader these days, but still, it was disappointing.
After that I gave up on looking for internal readers and got Kingston external reader, which works surprisingly nicely to this day.

I've purchased several other Sabrent products and have been pleased with all. This card reader is a quality product that B&H sells for cheap.

Comments about Sabrent 7-Slot USB 2.0 Internal Memory Card Reader & Writer:
Its not B&H's fault but this thing is horrible. Do not buy it. Most card readers allow the CF card to go in about half way before it engages the pins on the reader. Not this one. The pins are right at the front. If you don't have the card straight you will bend the pins and the reader will be useless. The pins on mine were bent when I got it and after unbending them the reader wouldn't work. Find yourself an internal dynex card reader. That card reader is guided in at least halfway before touching the pins.

Comments about Sabrent 7-Slot USB 2.0 Internal Memory Card Reader & Writer:
I have an Antec case that I have used for the last 4 upgrades. My current motherboard version doesn't support a 3.5 floppy, so I had a hole in the front of the case. I have been using a removable card reader, but the price and the fact that this reader would both fit into the empty space in the front of my case and that it will read SDHC cards made it a "no brainer". The card works perfect, attaches to the USB header on my MB, I coulden't ask for more. I recommend this for anyone wanting to put a card reader into their computer.

I needed to replace a non functional unit in my dell 546. Dell wanted twice the price, took a chance, did a little research, this unit very similar. fit like a glove except for one screw hole but is secure. Windows loaded right up, installed drivers automatically and BAM!, works like a charm. Great price, fast shipping, works for me.

Comments about Sabrent 7-Slot USB 2.0 Internal Memory Card Reader & Writer:
It works fine but it feels flimsy. I'm always extra careful when inserting a CF card since the pins are almost out there. The side channels or grooves don't guide the card too well. Maybe it's just my impression that the pins can be easily bent if I fail to insert the card just right (so far it hasn't happened). The MS port works ok.

Comments about Sabrent 7-Slot USB 2.0 Internal Memory Card Reader & Writer:
This card reader can read and write all cards.... And its ready for some future cards like extreme SD, and SDXC.... And much more.
Not only that.... But one of the fews that uses micro SD....
You can use those little cards from your cellular... Without an adapter...
I'm getting a second one soon....
I highly recommended....

Comments about Sabrent 7-Slot USB 2.0 Internal Memory Card Reader & Writer:
Nicely labeled, easy to install, works great, extremely good value.
However, the shallow CF plug may lead to bent pins (read, rep[lacing the unit) if card is not lined up correctly before the final push to connect.
