I used this paper for a long long time and always liked the texture and colors it provided. Last week I bought a box of the "improved" paper and it was a disaster. Their paper used to come from switzerland and it was good, now it is made in Germany and I'm pretty sure they did something with the lubricant they put on the paper. Colors are completly off. Never again hp.

I've used HP Photosmart printers for the past 12 years and Premium Plus Glossy was my main paper. Over the years I've seen it improve considerably. The incarnation prior to this product was the best. Images were vibrant, clean and consistent. I stuck with HP printers because this paper was so good and easy to use to get great looking prints. But this "new and improved" product is terrible. Prints come out with a grey and milky plastic veil. While they dry down to look better, the image doesn't have the vibrancy or contrast of the previous paper. Images are weak and wimpy with hardly any blacks. Gone is the textured back that gave the paper substance--this stuff feels like a sheet of thin plastic.
By making the image darker and pumping up the contrast and then increasing the ink volume when printing, the results can be improved enough to be considered "acceptable" at best. But it never gets to the level of quality I was able to achieve with the paper it replaced.
This is not an improvement.
