The Prompter People Heavy Duty Tripod, with high-tensile heat-treated aluminum alloy construction, offers rigidity, stability, and shock-resistance. It has 3 stage adjustable legs and can support video cameras up to 30 lb (13.6 kg).
Featuring fluid cartridges, the video head of the tripod offers continuous drag control while covering a wide range of friction control down to ‘zero drag’. With an advanced drag system, the tripod ensures smooth pan and tilt control, as well as smooth stop and starts. Designed for the latest DV to broadcast cameras, it also comes with rubber/spike feet and a spreader.
The HD Tripod with pro dual pan handles is capable of operating on both pan and tilt axes with independent pan and tilt locks. Since it is built on a low profile to reduce the center of gravity, the tripod can balance heavy loads. It has a standard screw mount at the end of the center column and a Sliding Quick Release Mount for balancing the camera. In addition to a folded length of 30" (762mm), the tripod features an extended length of 72" (1828.8mm).

Comments about Prompter People Heavy Duty Tripod:
I paired thi up with a Prompter People telepromter and it gets the job done while looking good! The adjustable legs come in handy when filming standing up or sitting down.
I recommend buying the dolly also, because this is heavy to move around.

Comments about Prompter People Heavy Duty Tripod:
Good- Smooth pan/tilt, sturdy construction, two handles which can be handy if you mount it on dolly for studio work, big base plate, ability to detach bottom spreader and use spikes to plant it firmly on soil.
Bad- Rubber rings that keeps sticks and bottom spreader connected is too lose and actually allows whole tripod to wiggle as you pan or for spreader to detach when you pack it/unpack it. Pan and tilt drag is very hard and that might be because it's new but I have feeling it will stay like that (I actually like it to be harder to move as it gives me more stability but then rubbery feet connection comes into play). To lock tilt and pan it takes some muscle. It cannot be stored in a bag (on which shoulder strap is already broken) with handle(s) in place, they actually have to be detached. Beware this tripod has no manuals, setup guides or any explanations in a written form anywhere!
I got this tripod because I like sturdy feel and look and it's studio origins. overall excellent value for money!

Stable platform for digital camera and teleprompter. Smooth pan and tilt controlls but would have liked to have a drag lock also. Can't beat the price.
