These lights work great. I bought these for color quality and they deliver. My only negative would be that they're noisy when you're close to them. I use these for video so I run into trouble with sound. When a number of these are on there's a noticeable buzz. This might be avoided depending on your mic setup. I haven't managed to put these into my regular workflow yet so I can't say for certain.

I am quite frustrated actually. I really like the impact lamps we just purchased but the bulbs seem to be failing quickly. We have purchased three bulbs in the last couple weeks to replace two broken bulbs and one that wasn't working. Now one of the replacements is not working and two of the bulbs that came with our original purchase in October are not working.
Pretty frustrated considering they are $20 bulbs.

Our 3 fixtures are only 8 weeks old, and we've already lost 3 bulbs. Yes were using them 40 hours a week to photograph all of our products, but 320 hours is a LONG WAY from 10,000 hours.

Got these as part of a B&H kit. I was hoping to make my house a nice 55k light. These look fine, as far as indoor lighting, but you can't leave them on. They make quiet but noticeable whining hum. I was pretty disappointed that B&H would sell these as part of their kit.
Would return, but other reviewers said B&H doesn't do return on light bulbs.

Comments about Eiko Spiral Fluorescent Lamp (30W / 120V):
The bulbs are very fragile, they break very easily. I bought eight 23 watts bulbs and they were too low light for the Octa 6 lights and try to return them, and was told I can't return bulbs... After convincing them they were just bought a week ago, they verified every bulb and found one bulb broken in the box. They would not refund that one.
I had to eat that one bulb....

I purchased these bulbs to use in a hair light, so the hair light would match the color temperature of the bulbs in my Octocool softbox.
