Comments about Eiko Spiral Fluorescent Lamp (85W / 120V):
While all bulbs may look the same this one provides the light you need for video production. Make sure you keep the boxes these come in. They pack well and protect these very delecate bulbs in transit. The light temperature is perfect for a small studio and they generate far less heat than incadescent or halogen bulbs. We thought we found an alternative for a few dollars less and we were wrong. Why risk color balance for a couple of dollars. Use the right bulbs. These are designed for studio use and do a fantastic job.

Comments about Eiko Spiral Fluorescent Lamp (85W / 120V):
A much softer light that works well for cutting down glare on product photography. For my application shooting stone sculptures works better than a regular high watt bulb.

Comments about Eiko Spiral Fluorescent Lamp (85W / 120V):
I use this light in pet photography where flashes are distracting. Low energy use and temperature are great, but stronger light output would be better. I also have the 105W which is a faster light.

Comments about Eiko Spiral Fluorescent Lamp (85W / 120V):
I use this product in a large softbox while shooting interviews and it works great when I am balancing with daylight. When I use three of these at a time it gives me a great fill in or accent when shooting an interview where daylight is involved.
The light is also very cool so I don't worry about burning myself when making adjustments and don't have to wait around for it to cool down after the interview is over.
The stated life of 8000 hours is much less when you drop them, as would be expected with a lamp.
