After having my previous (cheap) stylus stolen and reading multiple reviews I settled on the AluPen since I need a comfortable and strong tool for everyday note taking on my 2nd gen iPad. It has a rugged and heavy aluminum body, which makes it quite comfortable to hold with average sized hands. It also has a nice balance. It all seemed too good to be true - and it was.
After using it for aprox. 6 hours a week during a whole semester the edges of the rubber tip began to crack. It still woks, but it might be torn out by regular use any moment now. So it's up to you, I don't recommend it for heavy use but it's great for the occasional o recreational user.
