Comments about Intova IC14 Digital Camera with Waterproof Housing:
In looking for an under water camera for vacation cruise I was on a tight budget... B&H came through! It takes great images and is very versatile in both video and Still. The only thing I would have liked for this camera was the ability to Zoom in Video mode and possibly a 1080 wide screen image but what can you get for only [$] I would definetly recommend this as an amatuer or 1st time Scuba camera. It took great images at over 70ft depth in Beliz . . .

Comments about Intova IC14 Digital Camera with Waterproof Housing:
I've been "testing" this camera for some days at depths of 3 to 38 meters in The Red Sea without external flash.
I'm not a photographer, I'm a diver. But I want to bring home the "trophies" and show them to relatives and acquaintances. It seems to me that this camera is very suitable for me.
After some experimentation I was able , I think, to pick up the combinations of the modes for the best photos. I've used Program AE, turned off the Flash, set White Balance on automatic, Center Metering and Hard Sharpness.
Because of the difference in temperature (37 on air and 24 in the water) on the inner glass of the box appears fog. That problem is solved simply. I put into the housing a small bag of desiccant. Such bags are put in shoes, bags, purses and etc. You can ask it in the store or find it in your house in things (lol). This kind of thing works effectively.
The photos are clear enough even at a depth of 30 meters. But the color disappears at a depth.
This problem is common to all underwater cameras. The solution of it is to purchase of external flash.
The camera is quickly adjusted on object. This allows to get good shots of moving underwater animals, provided that enough light ( up to 10-12m of depth). There is another reason to buy a flash.
I had enough batteries for 4 dives. One dive is at an average of 40-45 minutes. But I did not use flash. That is, battery can be recharged in time until the next "business" day.
The chamber allows to do rather qualitative videos clips. To my surprise I managed to do enough good films during a night dive (with a powerful lamp of my friend).

Comments about Intova IC14 Digital Camera with Waterproof Housing:
This product worked as advertised, and delivered excellent quality pictures and videos.
I used the Underwater Red Filter, and it worked great... The filter threads on the housing are made of plastic, and I upgraded the threads with a metal filter ring, which made underwater threading of the red filter very easy... No cross threading with the metal ring.

Comments about Intova IC14 Digital Camera with Waterproof Housing:
I have friends that have comparable cameras that paid much more than this and still get blurry pics. Underwater photography takes lots of practice. I am still learning but from the other cameras I have been around this camera takes good pictures and is more rugged than some others that cost more. The only thing that is missing is a dedicated underwater mode, but there are plenty of other settings to make up for that.

Comments about Intova IC14 Digital Camera with Waterproof Housing:
I used the product in Mexico at the Grand Cenotes. Many photos came out blurry under the water. There is no underwater setting so that may be the issue, though it should since it's billed as an uderwater camera. The other thing it could be is that it has a slow shutter speed.
