The CradlePoint MBR95 Wireless 3G/4G Router allows you to create an instant WiFi hotspot anywhere you have a broadband signal. Moreover, MBR95 Router also has traditional connection options such as Cable, DSL or Satellite. This router easily supports 600 feet of WiFi range and connects up to 32 devices or people. A special feature of MBR95 Router is that you can use it as a Data Source. The "WiFi-as-WAN" mode enables the MBR95 to become a WiFi repeater using existing WiFi to create secure connections or use as a WiFi-to-Ethernet adapter for non-WiFi devices.
Or, connect a 4G/3G mobile broadband data modem and use it as a backup Internet connection to a traditional wired line data service like Cable or DSL. When your wired line goes down, the MBR95 will "automatically failover" to the connected 4G/3G mobile broadband USB data modem - providing a seamless always-on Internet experience. Get ultimate flexibility and assurance that mission-critical business will continue even if your main wired Internet connection goes down.
The MBR95 also provides a wide variety of encryption and security features to prevent unwanted network access. With CradlePoint's WiPipe technology, our products feature a NAT firewall, Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI), and WEP/WPA/WPA2 (personal and enterprise) WiFi encryption, as well as VPN pass-through for secure corporate connections. Use the CradlePoint MBR95 as a primary data connection, or a backup Internet connection using a 4G/3G mobile broadband USB data modem.
The CradlePoint MBR95 provides secure WiFi access for up to 32 devices such as laptops, tablets, game systems, printers, smartphones - or any other WiFi-enabled device. The CradlePoint auto adapter (an optional accessory) allows you to easily power your router on the road. Extend the value of a single 4G/3G USB data modem by sharing it with all your WiFi-enabled devices.
Simply position the MBR95 where the connected 4G/3G data modem receives the best signal (using the signal strength indicators on the front of the router) and you'll be using the Internet in no time. Connect laptops, tablets, game devices, DVRs, printers, voice-over IP or smart phones - anything that's WiFi-enabled.
The MBR95 has both a 600 foot "private" WiFi broadcast that only you control while providing others with special "guest" access for maximum security when sharing your WiFi. Create a secure instant WiFi network where you never thought it possible.

My goal was to purchase a router into which I could plug a USB air card and have a portable network with Internet connectivity provided via the local 4G network. The company has Verizon connectivity, so there was a limited set of air cards to choose from.
After a Netgear MBRN3000 would not work, we got this Cradlepoint unit. It took 5 minutes to plug in, configure the router and wireless, and when we plugged in the Verizon Pantech UML290 aircard, it just started working - no fuss, no problems.
I gave it to the client in boxes - not a tech person. He plugged it in according to my instructions, and it just worked. Simple, straightforward, no problems.
We will recommend the MBR95 to all clients who need a mobile networking solution, and we know for sure that the Pantech UML290 works like a charm!

Comments about CradlePoint MBR95 Wireless 3G/4G Router:
Overall this is an excellent unit with many advanced features including two WiFi radios - one for optional WAN uplink connectivity and the other for local users.
I had planned to use this for auto failover to my iPhone Wifi Hotspot when my Cable Service failed, and then auto fail back when cable service was restored. However the unit cannot detect when I unplug the coax from the cable modem and does not failover. (You can force a failover by unplugging the Ethernet cable from the WAN port.) Exchanges with Cradlepoint indicate you must use another model (ctr400, ctr450, mbr1200b, mbr1400) to get the WAN livliness detection (ping) feature. This was not clear in the promotional documentation.

Good out of the box, even better when you do the firmware update. Plug and play with 3g & 4g modems and has even more options than I care to use at this time.

Comments about CradlePoint MBR95 Wireless 3G/4G Router:
This is a replacement for the old Cradlepoint router that got fried by lightning. The setup was simple since it was essientially the same setup as the last. The browser interface is much better compared to the old version with tons of settings that are well divided into 'basic' and 'advanced' so non-savvy folks know what to stay away from but allows geeks to tweak. The bandwidth meters and limits are a nice feature although I it does not seem to be working properly... (but I've only used the modem for a few days so unsure if it's a setting I don't have correct or if it's a bug. But I have my internet back and can use the network printer and that's what's most important.

Very, very thoughtfully engineered product, works like a champ. MUCH nicer than the Linksys it replaced, nicer than others I've seen as well. Integrated with the Sprint device seamlessly. I had struggled with Windows DHCP and Internet Connection Sharing for years. Plugged everything into this puppy, everything worked. Highly recommended.

I was so very, very pleased and surprised when I opened the box the product came in, plugged it in, plugged in my AT&T internet device to it, went to my lap-top and got immediately on the internet. That's it. No confusing downloading and install procedures. I'd buy it again in a minute.

I replaced an older Dlink mobile router with the MBR95 and wish I had done sooner. It is faster and the setup was much easier. I am using it for a home network with a 3G aircard. Have had for two weeks, no negatives to date.
