Comments about The Joy Factory Tournez Retractable Clamp Mount for new iPad & iPad 2:

Just wanted to update my review of 01/12 with a positive report on Joy Factory's customer service and support. I am still very happy with this mount and use it on a daily basis. Overall, I find it very durable and well made. However, as another reviewer (Sub from NY) had mentioned, the clip that holds the iPad to the mount seems flimsy. Aout two weeks after my first review, the tab on this clip broke off as I was removing the iPad from the mount. However, this did not seem to affect the ability of the clip to hold the iPad on securely. I did contact Joy Factory and they had me email them a picture of the broken clip just to ensure that the replacement part was the correct one. They emailed me later that same day to let me know that they had sent me out a replacement clip (free of charge). I received a package containing 2 replacement clips within a couple of days. I have not had any problems since. With such excellent customer service and the overall good quality of this mount, I would not hesitate to purchase another Joy Factory mount.

Comments about The Joy Factory Tournez Retractable Clamp Mount for new iPad & iPad 2:

I have had this clamp mount for my iPad 2 for about 3 wks now and find that I use it all the time. I am visually impaired and even though the iPad itself has great accessibility features, I still have to keep it fairly close to my face and this mount works wonderfully for that. Really keeps my arms, neck and shoulders from aching as I don't have to hang onto it nor keep leaning forward. Great for watching movies, web browsing or whatever while lying in bed or sitting in your favorite chair. It has a great deal of adjustability and although it is fairly easy to adjust, I would say the biggest con would be that it sometimes seems that I have to really put a great deal of pressure on the tightening handles to get it to hold in place without "creeping". Even though I listed a couple of "cons", I think they are minor so am giving it 5 stars overall.

Comments about The Joy Factory Tournez Retractable Clamp Mount for new iPad & iPad 2:

I bought this to clip to my headboard and watch ipad in bed, and this was one of the few products that let me do it. Its made of carbon fiber, and looks like professional AV gear. Joy Factory is Asian based I think but they were very nice when I had a problem.. one of the arms came loose and I had to reglue. They sent me a new arm for free anyway and I was able to extend the arm so it was even better for watching in bed. Great company, great product.

The only con I can mention is that the connection between the ipad plate and the mount seems a little flimsy. I'm careful with it, but it looks like a possible failure point.
