The 1TB Store 'n' Save USB 3.0 Desktop Hard Drive from Verbatim is a stellar means of backing up your computer's data or storing extra files. This quiet, fanless, external drive features 1TB of capacity and boasts a USB 3.0 port for speedy data transfers. The USB 3.0 port features a maximum data transfer speed of 5Gbps, which is 10 times greater than USB 2.0.
The drive is also loaded with a few different software programs. You'll receive Verbatim's Formatter and Green-Button energy-saving software as well as Nero BackItUP and Burn Essentials. The drive supports USB 3.0 with Windows computers and USB 2.0 with Macs.* It can be positioned horizontally or vertically.

Picked this up when I discovered my Western Digital backup hard drive was not compatible with my Windows 7 upgrade - what an unwelcome surprise! This Verbatim backup hard drive worked out easy. Simply plugged it in and Windows 7 did the rest. Its large flat surface allows me to park it ontop of the CPU safely. Good price for a 1TB drive.
