The Topaz Adjust Plug-In (Mac/Windows) from Topaz Labs LLC allows you to apply subtle or stunning enhancements to photos quickly and easily. With more than 30 presets for a fast workflow, Adjust is an extremely efficient way to make your photos "pop" with vibrant contrast, detail, color, and depth.
Adjust allows you to correct and balance image exposure for understated effects that result in more pleasing, realistic images, or you can add dynamic, vibrant color and detail enhancements for more drastic, artistic effects. The plug-in features intuitive and powerful tabs that enable slider-based control over image Exposure, Detail, Color and Noise, and you can create single-image HDR (high dynamic range) effects quickly.
The traditional way to create an HDR image is to take the same photo at several different exposure levels. With Adjust, the HDR process is greatly simplified. You can generate HDR effects using a single photo, producing an image that exhibits the full range of luminosity between highlights and shadows in the scene – a bold image with dynamic color and almost surreal levels of detail.
Topaz DeNoise works not only with Photoshop but also Photoshop Elements, Photo Impact, Irfanview, Serif Photo Plus, Aperture, iPhoto, PaintShop Pro, and Lightroom.
- Exposure
- The Exposure section controls all exposure-related capabilities of Topaz Adjust. With these controls, add a unique and pleasing effect to your photo that makes it pop out to your viewers. Use the Adaptive Exposure and Regions sliders together for a visually pleasing tone-mapped effect. Conveniently adjust Contrast or Brightness, and protect your Highlights and Shadows
- Detail
- The Topaz Adjust Detail tab makes it easy to creatively enhance or remove details in your photo. Even previously unseen image details can be recovered and enhanced. The Strength and Boost parameters allow you to specify the exact amount of detail to enhance, while the Threshold and Radius options let you specify the size. Also, apply detail Sharpening when you need it
- Color
- The Color tab lets you manipulate image color with a special technique that yields impressive results for your photos. The primary Adaptive Saturation and Regions sliders work together to create brilliant color effects. The Saturation, Saturation Boost, and Hue controls can be conveniently accessed when needed
- Noise
- The Suppression slider of the Noise tab controls the amount of noise that's removed. The filter detects the "proper" amount and applies this when a medium amount of noise removal is selected; you can also set the slider to remove more or less

Topaz Adjust is simple and straightforward. I'm not sure if this is specific to mine but when you choose a preset, the image quality for the preview is really grainy.
