Better than the original Sony A6000 lens cap

Comments about Sensei 40.5mm Clip-On Lens Cap:

This lens cap has a stronger grip than the original Sony lens on my A6000 and stays put on the lens. The price is great.

I do a lot of street shooting, so the lens cap is frequently on and off my lens and in and out of my pockets a lot. I bought a second for a back up. They're cheap enough that you can buy two.

If you've got a Sony A6000 camera, and do street photography, I'd suggest adding a clear filter to protect your lens.

Comments about Sensei 40.5mm Clip-On Lens Cap:

Good value, especially when compared to the Nikon cap. This is much less expensive-about half the price, just because it doesn't have the Nikon name.Works fine, but both this cap and the Nikon cap should have a flange built onto the cap so you can attach a lanyard, to tie to the camera body, so you don't lose it. I've lost 2 caps because it didn't have this feature-lost one 2 hours after purchasing it!!! Now I have made my own lanyard to attach to the camera body, but still have a backup cap to use should my homemade lanyard breaks.

Can cover old Canon Macro Hood

Comments about Sensei 40.5mm Clip-On Lens Cap:

I got an old Canon macro hood (which is basically a Canon FD rear lens cap with a big hole cut out in the middle) to use with my Canon FD 24mm f2.8 S.S.C. lens for some reverse macro photography, but there's no cap for the hood, so you can't easily cover the lens without switching out the macro hood for a rear lens cap, which I didn't want to do each time I threw my camera back in the bag. This 40.5mm cap is the perfect size for the old Canon macro hoods, though the inner ring of the macro hood is slanted in a way so that the cap does not stay in place. But all I had to do was shave down part of the inner edges of the macro hood and this lens cap now stays in place quite well. Enough to through back into my bag without worrying about it anyhow.

Comments about Sensei 40.5mm Clip-On Lens Cap:

I bought this after the cap that came with my Sony NEX-6 and 16-50mm kit lens got lost.

It cost more to ship it UPS ground that the cap cost, but the Sony store didn't carry a "real" replacement one leaving me with an exposed lens element.

This snaps on like the factory one and now I have a protected lens again.

I probably should have bought three or four because I have a feeling these caps will be pretty easy to lose.
