International Orders*The Sony PROFORMA 46" Gallery-style TV Mount allows you to hang a flat screen TV like a painting on a wall, and give the setup a sophisticated, art gallery-like look. It supports 400mm VESA pattern TVs weighing up to 80 lb (36.3 kg). An innovative wall hook design is used to secure the TV cable harness with a special-locking mechanism. Both the cable and harness can support up to 400 lb (181.4 kg), making the installation extremely safe.
A low profile design ensures that the TV hangs less than an inch away from the wall, which complements the looks of today’s ultra-thin TVs. Rubberized wall-spacers with integrated kick stands can be attached to the lower VESA holes to position the TV parallel to the wall. Non-marking rubberized tips provide static friction and protect the wall from scratches or damage, while the kick stands hold the TV away from the wall to make space for the wiring. Installation can be finished in a jiffy thanks to the single-stud design.

Comments about Sony PROFORMA 46" Gallery-style TV Mount:
We received the mount and using the instructions tried to determine which VESA screw holes to use in the back of the TV. After one failed attempt because the instructions were obviously "translated", we were able to ignore the instructions, find the right holes, and the mount worked fine. You would think that since SONY sells it, they would have better instructions as to how to mount it on one of their TV's. #Note, we have a slim LED 46" Sony Bravira. We would not think the mount would be good for a thicker TV.#

Installing this wall mount was very easy. It took me less than 20 minutes. The TV harness feels solid. Leveled the TV like adjusting a picture hanging on the wall. It does position the TV close to the wall, but that's why I like it.
Comments about Sony PROFORMA 46" Gallery-style TV Mount:
Purchased this mount because it appeared to be an easy, cool alternative to conventional mounts. However, it positions the TV so close to the wall that there's no room to conceal cables and plugs behind the TV for a clean-looking install. I also wonder if the TV receives proper ventilation that close. May be a good fit for applications where the cables are recessed into the wall. I also didn't get a strong sense of confidence from the design, as the TV hangs from a cable (like a painting) that attached to the 2 upper mounting points only, instead of all 4. I wound up returning it and going with a conventional mount that works much better (and was actually pretty easy to install as well).
