Just attached this monitor to a Systemax computer running Win 7 Pro. Used the DVI connection just because I had never had that ability before. May also try HDMI later. Found no bad pixels, color was fine, no amazing, right out of the box as was brightness. Would have liked a manual! Perhaps one is online.I debated between this and the model 248H which is $ or so more. Best I can tell, that one is 0.4" longer in the diagonal - true 24" - and Tech. Spt. said the 248H had a head phone jack which I don't need. To my surprise, the 247H does have that jack. Supposedly the 247 uses full array backlight LED vs. edge lit for the 248 and the former is better per some reviews - I have no way to compare. Also, the 247 brightness is rated as 300 cd/m2 vs. 250 cd/m2 for the 248. I gather the higher number reflects the ability to adjust for more brightness. A few other tech differences, not sure they are major. The 247 weighs a about half pound more also - a plus. I have a sturdy desk and it does not wobble unless I physically touch it and it is not the plate making contact with the desk that wobbles, but the more narrow part of the stand. So, don't be scared that it will tip over or jiggle, making it hard to see. Non-issue unless you like to sit and tap one of the upper corners while you work! Mine came with DVI and VGA cables, no HDMI cable although it has a connection to support that and they are cheap. I have not tried all the bells and whistles yet. Cannot be happier at this time. Oh, that 3-year warranty is something that not many manufacturers are giving.

No dead pixels or other issues. Nice that there's a headphone jack for sound out using the HDMI signal. I do notice that it's easier to view from different angles than other monitors I have used. Pretty straighforward, worked out of the box easily, multiple HDMI-ins would be nice. Great price from B&H of course.

I bought this after owning another smaller Asus monitor which I was satisfied with. No surprise, this one is no different. It is really bright and powerful, definitely smacks you in the face with it's perfection and awe in the screen. Has multiple inputs for HDMI, VGA, and DVI. The one disappointing aspect is there are no built in speakers so I use external speakers and plug them right in.

My wife uses this plugged into her laptop docking station. She really likes it a lot, and can't think of anything negative to say about it. And for my part, it has the best specs for the price that I found. Having HDMI in addition to the standard VGA and DVI interfaces is a plus. Very happy.

I like this monitor. Good resolution, color, ect. It has mounts on the back. The button on teh monitor are better than most monitors, but I think they could still be improved. Adjustments on the movements are good for tilting up and down. But the entire screen does not raise up. And the screen does not tilt left or right (rather, you must twist the entire unit, even the base to make the monitor visible to someone off to the side).

Comments about ASUS VS247H-P 23.6" LED Computer Display:
I purchased two of these 24" monitors for my editing system. They both came crisp and clear out of the box with not a single dead pixel. They were a bit bright so i turned the brightness down a tad. I don't use the stands because they are mounted to an articulating arm but I hear the stands are a bit flimsy. I have no complaints or regrets.

It's very light so its easy to move around.
There are many color setting modes but sRGB mode is what I use! no dead pixels for me so thats a plus
Ports are nice <3
23.6" is so big upclose and gives my eye stress so I have to move it a little bit farther than were I would normally put. I plan on getting a second one to get a triple monitor set up if the prices are right again :X

Comments about ASUS VS247H-P 23.6" LED Computer Display:
Overall this is a great display for a very reasonable price. I have it hooked up with DVI and I use it to watch Netflix as well as running some CAD programs - the wide display is great for both of these. It defaulted a little on the bright side but was very easily adjustable to my preferences. The physical adjustment buttons on the underside are nice compared to the touch pad buttons that have you guessing where to make contact to actually activate the menu. Coupled with some decent speakers (mine are Altec Lansing - $) it is a great multimedia setup.

I must say that the price for this monitor was great and the quality of it is very good. I hooked it up with no problems. The image quality is very sharp i am running 1080p it also has alot of adjustable settings. The only thing that i see wrong with this monitor is the stand is wobbly, but it doesnt bother me at all because i dont touch or adjust the monitor once its set up.

I do a lot of graphic design. I had the ML236 (I think that's the model) for a year and a half but it just didn't have the brightness or color quality that I needed. I switched for this one, which at the time of purchase was $ less than MSRP. I love the colors, the brightness is great because it's LED backlit. Also, I've found the different modes more useful and they make more of a difference between them than my old model. Overall a great monitor...I guess it'd be nice if the stand was adjustable but it doesn't bother me. If you're reading this, and you're looking for a solid monitor less than $, stop reading and buy this monitor!

Solid screen for the price. It is huge, which I love. The resolution is very nice. I have no problems with it, besides it being a little bit wobbly, nothing dangerous, just shakes a bit when my printer prints. I really like how you can tilt it.

Comments about ASUS VS247H-P 23.6" LED Computer Display:
The monitor is great; big & beautiful. I had no bad pixels and after a few minutes in the settings, I was able to show my photos in their best light. However, the stand leaves a lot to be desired, it is very shaky. This has got to be the weakest stand I have ever seen. Pressing the Power ON button rocks the monitor! It is still a useable display but be forewarned that it is on a flimsy stand.
I would not recommend it to a friend for simple fact that I think a similar quality display can be found for approximately the same money that has a sturdier stand.

I enjoy the crisp LED backlit display that uses much less power than my last LCD monitor that was much smaller. Controls are easy to adjust and the monitor looks great. Stand may be a bit wobbly for some people, I have had no problems with it. Monitor showed up on time with no damage!
