Comments about Jill-E Designs Jack DSLR Swing Bag (Brown):

I really wanted to like this bag but it has many design flaws. I originally bought this bag because it is thin, discrete and good looking. When loaded, this bag fits my D7000 with a lens mounted along with a couple of extra lenses.

I took the bag for a trip and I found its problems. The bag does not feel comfortable, the shoulder pad is VERY thin and it ripped after few days of walking around with the bag. In addition, the strap is attached to the bag so you are out of luck if you want to replace it with something more comfortable. The padding in the bag is decent but lacks additional pockets to bring other things you might need, for example, no chance to carry a small bottle of water or something similar. It has a couple of very small pockets for memory cards and other small items only. I mentioned that the bag is thin, but perhaps too thin, the camera pointing down is wider so you can see and feel the hump.

A huge design flaw is that the front pocket is VERY tight to fit an iPad; the iPad needs to be placed in vertically but is too tall for the cover to fold and close. I managed to add a piece of velcro in order to be able to fold it but that did not work neither. Be aware that this bag DOES NOT FIT an iPad on the front as it is advertised. It is almost impossible to slip in the iPad when the camere is in the bag.

In summary, this bag is not for traveling with a DSLR, lenses and a tablet. It might be good for a short shooting walk with few items in it or for a small camera system such as 4/3 or nex.

As I said, I really wanted to like this JIll-e bag but it was a disappointment. I would not recommend it, instead I would suggest to look at the Think Tank Disguise 35. Both are very close in size but the Think Tank is FAR superior, it feels like a serious bag. I bought one for myself and I am leaving this Jill-e in the storage wishing I hadn't bought it and hoping I can find some use for it in the future.
