Best for long telescopic photos. Unfortunately not autofocus. Best used with Photoshop.

Comments about Rokinon 500mm f/6.3 Mirror T-Mount Lens (Black):
I have only had a few chances to use the lens, but it's giving me just what I expected.
My initial reason for the purchase was to get some shots of the Moon. My telescope focal length is too long to fit the entire moon in the frame... so 500 works very well. On a tripod it looks good.
I've taken the lens out on a fishing trip and managed to handhold various birds, frogs and butterflies as well. As long as they're not moving, it's as good as I would expect.

Comments about Rokinon 500mm f/6.3 Mirror T-Mount Lens (Black):
My 2 main considerations for buying this lens were cost and size. With that said here is what I think you need to consider: It took almost 6 weeks from ordering to delivery (it was back-ordered). Although it is specified as a 6.3 fixed aperture, it's not. Add 2 or 3 more stops. I've compared it to my other lenses setting them to 6.3 and the shutter speeds aren't even close. Next is the picture quality. It's just not there. All of my test pictures have a soft focus to them with no real sharp focus points at all. Finally, in order to get a shot at infinity I looked to the sky. With a solid blue photo you can see 6 small circular shadows. Don't know what causes them, but after a lot of experimenting with different lenses and multiple cleaning attempts, they still remain. On any picture with content they aren't noticeable. Probably because of the soft focus issue.

I am very happy to write this review for the Rokinon 500mm lens for a Canon camera that I purchased from B&H. The lens is great and even beyond my expectations and the product was delivered promptly and packed to perfection. It's much better of course with a tripod, but the shots are awesome! Its value for money. I will recommend this to my friends
